Desi Roots In Texas in Austin

Plenty of vegetarian options. If you like Indian style bbq- this is the place. Paneer tikka kabab was delicious. There were 5 paneer pieces and it came with salad. Also ordered Hakka noodles which was good. Would appreciate bigger portion size compared to the price otherwise it’s good to have another food truck in the area. Would definitely visit again to try out other items from the menu. Service was quick. Very less waiting time after ordering. Staff was courteous. Overall good experience.

This is the best food truck in Austin. I was missing Indian taste every where in Austin but finally I found it Desi root in Texas. I tried dum aloo which was excellent. Thank you chef Ali and chef Ashish they are very kind and helpful with menu.

Small Indian food truck/restaurant located within the Chevron gas station. They serve fried rice,briyani,noodles, grill items- Tandoori,chicken 65. Open from 11am to 10pm. Have a nice dining while here.

Their kebabs are the best! Nice dhaba type experience. You can get beer next door. Defly try their hakka noodles!!

Decided to try something new and I’ve gotta say i'm impressed with the overall quality and portions. Menu prices are just right and the location is great. I’ve received nothing but excellent customer service so I recommend “Desi Roots in Texas” to anyone that wants to try new things or is looking for quality food options.

This is hands down most authentic street style desi food in Austin. We’ve been here twice and especially love the chicken 65, veggie noodles and the aloo tikki chat. Love the food, and great service by Ashish and his team. We’re definitely going to be visiting more often!

Desi Roots is hands down the best Indian food truck around! The authentic desi flavors are incredible, and every dish is packed with amazing taste. Whether it's the flavorful biryani, the Hakka noodles or sweet & yummy falooda, everything is cooked to perfection. Highly recommend for anyone craving real Indian cuisine!
