Hubby and I came here for the first time for a different experience. Our waiter Sankel was awesome. He was very attentive and explained everything in detail. The food was excellent. We will definitely be back for the lunch buffet.
The items were less comparatively to other buffets but all the items from starters to biryani and curries everything tasted so well! One of the best I have tasted in Chicago! Loved it totally. Worth your $$!
We had a wonderful experience! Delicious, very flavorful and spicy Indian food on a cold winter day is such a treat! A wide variety of vegan and vegetarian dishes! Service and atmosphere is outstanding!
pleasantly surprised at the quality of food for the buffet. their curries were fantastic, and the chicken tikka masala was my favorite - perfectly flavorful and creamy without tasting too salty or heavy. the tandoori chicken was also tasty, and i loved that servers were so attentive that they came to offer more when they noticed we finished our dish
we really enjoyed our experience for restaurant week. we got two spicy soups — the texture was surprisingly viscous. the thalis were our favorite — we each got one veg and one meat. they are the best value because you can taste so many things. i thought it was a nice touch that the veg thali had an extra dish built in to account for value compared to the meat one. we loved the naan too. the lamb was so good and the chana masala. and for only $1 you can add wine to your restaurant week menu! we had a great time and the service was great too.
Ordered 1 Papdi Chat and 1 Masala Chai from the Ala Carte Menu that made the bill to 20$ but the quantity they served is just above 40$. Although due to time constraints I have to try the above savoury items but I would recommend people to try their buffet menu. The service was so good that I had to give a 3$ tip to my server Valentina. It’s 22$ but it’s worth it. You get whole north Indian mughlai dishes served at 22$ They are one of a kind in downtown Chicago and visitors’, tourists’ first preference for relishing Indian food.
I had a wonderful dining experience at Indian House, where the goat curry was an absolute standout—rich, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. The samosas were equally delightful, crispy on the outside and bursting with delicious filling. The service was exceptional, with attentive staff who made sure our needs were met throughout our meal. Visiting during happy hour was a bonus, making it an even more enjoyable outing!
