Thanal Indian Tavern in Philadelphia

Thanal Indian Tavern is amazing! The food was flavorful, and the desserts were the perfect finish. I loved everything I tried! The staff was super nice, and the vibe was chill with great music. If you’re into Indian food, this spot is a must-try. Can’t wait to go back!

🏆BEST CHICKEN 65 EVER! Seriously though, this is probably the best chicken 65 you will ever have! The chef fried it to the absolute perfect moment… every bite is crunchy, flavorful and tender which is incredibly difficult to pull off. And OMG —> their Thanal Special Goat Curry is decadence served with love!

The best Indian food around. This is the anjeer kofta, but I’ve had many things from here and they’re all great. I also love the music they were playing (One Direction). Very quick & kind service. I had an entree (~$18) and a glass of wine (~$12). Definitely check it out.

Food here was GREAT! 10/10 service and the everything was so flavorful!!!! I could not recommend this place more because we found it so tasty we went here for two nights in a row !! Just so tasty and the staff was very friendly.

Lucky was an amazing server!!! I originally wanted spicy butter chicken and she recommended chicken tikka which was the perfect choice. Best Indian food, ambiance and service in Philly for sure!!!

Came here during restaurant week and it was definitely worth the money. The butter naan was very fresh probably the best I have had in a while. We really enjoyed the lamb chops and butter chicken. They have a great soup, appetizer, entree, and dessert selection. The staff was very attentive and kind. We came on a Saturday and were able to find street parking right outside the restaurant. Parking might be difficult depending on what day and time you come. Very nice and cozy restaurant. Overall, I recommend this restaurant.
