RAVIS Chao Phraya Indian -Thai

To all fellow Americans take this from a British Pakistani who knows his curries. I have had a few experiences of so called Indian food at Oxford , Dayton , Richmond and TBH I was very deflated at the so called Curry that was being served to my fellow American friends as the food was very poor. So after a few recommendations from other South Asians whom I have met on my travels the same name popped up ‘Ravis’ We were met by a lovely lady who seated us I asked to speak to the chef as the previous let downs. The main man Ravi himself came out and we chatted for a while and he said I got you don’t worry. So I ordered Dum Goat Biranyi with Four Pulkas (chapattis) along with Lamb & Spinach Curry Garlic & Coriander Nan & a Beer. The rice with the goats meat was so flavoured with the meat so tender is just melted away. The Lamb & Spinach left my partner speechless Ravi is the man his Dum Biranyi is just like home.

Being from Hyderabad, I always crave the authentic flavors of home, and Ravi Hyderabad House truly delivered! The rich aroma of the biryani, the perfectly balanced spices in the curries, and the comforting taste of the dishes took me straight back to my hometown. Every bite reminded me of the flavors I grew up with Hyderabad . The food was simply delicious, and the quality was top-notch. If you're looking for a place that serves real Hyderabadi food, this is it! Highly recommended for anyone missing the authentic taste of Hyderabad. Will definitely be coming back!

Ravi's offers an exceptional takeout experience. My multiple orders have consistently delivered delicious food in generous, satisfying portions. Every dish I've tried from their extensive menu has been excellent, and the ample amount of meat provided is particularly noteworthy. I highly recommend Ravi's for a truly enjoyable and fulfilling meal. I drove by by accident and finally dined in and the service was fast and great.

Excellent goat curry with rice, excellent garlic naan. Food is fresh and flavourful. I heard that things can be spicy, so I ordered 2/10 on the level of spice. Just right. The mango lassi takes the spice down and is an enjoyable drink for the summer, non-alcoholic. Buffet is 12-3:30pm. Additional servings of buffet are $3.99. All in all, excellent food and service. I highly recommend.

This was the best Indian food I've ever had!! And it's because they're unique. Their food won't taste like the usual Indian place. Some folk give 1 star cuz it's not what they like, but I'll be coming back again and again!! Definitely recommend chicken Korma and chicken 65. Their chicken is so tender! Idk how they do it. Warning: Their food is always a least a bit spicy. Lowest they go seems to be like a spicy level 2 or 3 at other places. Atmosphere and service makes it feel like you're there to relax. The slower pacing (but not slow!) makes me feel like I'm eating at somebody's home, not a restaurant. Some folk give 1 star cuz they want the hyper-speed of US culture. This place is an oasis of a slower, more humble culture. I'm so glad Ravi's took the risk and did something unique, rather than pandering to the masses!! Perhaps I'll start looking at other 3~4 star rated places to find the best food. PS - Haywards 5000 is one of the best beers I've ever had too. And I've had a lot.

I've traveled to Hyderabad many times since 2015 and always return back to the United States craving the same kind of food that is served there. When I found Ravi's, I no longer had to wait to go to India to have authentic South Indian cuisine because it is as authentic as it gets. I love the food and the owner is fantastic! I highly recommend this place!

My favorite Indian restaurant. The food is very authentic, spicy, and not sweetened to suite American tastes. The 65 chicken is always moist and flavourful and the spinach cheese curry is the best. They give you plenty of rice and always freshly made warm nan!
