UPDATE: Under new management!!!… Was told new dishes will be coming soon (not sure I will try as the taste of the food has changed drastically from my experience). New A family owned indian restaurant I’ve grown to love. Recommended by a co-worker, Saffron Indian Cuisine Restaurant has become one of my “guilty pleasures” on my way home from work. Located on a main strip in Norwalk, it is one of thee best Indian Restaurants I’ve eaten at in Connecticut and would recommend it anyone open to having a delicious and tasty meal. They’ve distinguished themselves apart from the rest through their commitment to quality, freshness for each handcrafted dish. Their menu includes Chicken Tikka Masala and its correspondent Butter Chicken where I HUGELY recommend getting the Bhatura (fried pita bread) along with it or any of their entree’s (you’ll thank me later 😉). There’s various Biryani’s (aromatic rice dishes) with your choice of protein (chicken, lamb, shrimp, etc.). They prepare various naans (breads), vegetarian dishes, and dessert. What kept me returning to Saffron is their utmost consistency in the flavor and their spice levels where I recommend if you never had Indian food before-start off with their level 3. I personally do level 7-just enough of a kick, if you like spice (y)-level 8 and up will offer you that bang. Don’t let anyone scare you about Indian food being too spicy, they will definitely change your perspective and tastebuds. Saffron’s wide array of dishes includes something for everyone and their own liking which welcomes you to enjoy their crafts from the kitchen. It’s worth a try!.

Absolutely delicious meal at Saffron and the hospitality was impeccable. Highly recommend the Chicken Madras, Gobi Aloo Masala, and Samosa Chat appetizer.

One of our favorite Indian restaurants over the years. The new management is friendly, welcoming and delivers exceptional Indian food. Love the new smiling faces, the vibe and the great ideas they plan on implementing for our favorite spot. Can’t wait to come back soon.

I just dropped in for a dinner last week while I was driving through.. Food was simply delicious and very tasty. Maggie who took my order was very kind and professional. She was very detail in getting my order especially the spicy level etc.. Garlic naan, Butter chicken, rice and curry was simply tasty and delicious. New management who has taken over the Saffron Indian Cuisine is doing just an outstanding job I will keep visiting frequently to this restaurant to enjoy the delicious food again and again. thank you Saffron and thank you so much Maggie for such a great hospitality :-)

I have eaten a lot of Indian food in my life and this is hands down the best Indian food I’ve ever had- heck it might be the best meal I’ve ever had. Magical and amazing. Extensive and vibrant vegetarian menu too! Absolutely worth the journey for me to get there (even though I live over in NY state). Every bit of eating here is utterly perfect. (The photos might make the food appear humble- but it is anything but- it’s divine)

Visited for my birthday dinner and had the best evening with delicious food. The owners were very hospitable and the food was super delicious. The tandoori chicken was the best we have had here in US. Must try definitely!

Great place to get real Indian food, we stopped in for lunch and the food was delicious. New management very friendly couple, made sure we were comfortable. Food was spot on will definitely go back and try other items on the menu.
