A lovely family-owned restaurant with delicious appetizers and a good main course. Vegetarian-friendly with a standout dal fry that's simply great!
Went on a Sunday evening. Very attentative and fast service in a small setting. The prices were a few (1-3$) more per item than similiar Indian in the area but it was certainly worth it. The papadum and chutneys were some of the better we have had. The paneer pakora starter was a large portion (the photo is half the portion!) and appeared very fresh. It was lightly fried or maybe even baked. Very good. For a main we split a medium-spiced chicken korma with roti on the side. It was maybe a little less spicy than mediums elsewhere, but that also depends on the dish. It was tasty but not overwhelmingly flavoured. The metal bowls that they came in were a nice touch. The roti looked greasy/oily, but it certainly didnt taste or feel that way; we've had nore oily roti/naan that didnt look like this. We would certainly come back again, even if it means traveling a little further and paying a couple extra dollars!
Unassuming strip Mall restaurant with amazing service and food. Server understands vegan ingredients. Super friendly and Excellent service, delicious vegan items and easy access location with lots of parking. Samosas were perfect, baigan bharta, chana masala, gobi masala, roti and mango chutney. Dine in and take out. Amazing.
I live in the city but come to the South Hampton area sometimes to go to the Russian bathhouse closeby. We came here one time late after the cafe had closed at the bath house and it did not disappoint. We now come here everytime we are in the area. The food is flavorful, allergen friendly, well spiced, not greasy and overall so delicious and authentic. I love indian food and look forward to coming to Namaste because it's better than any Indian place in Philly. Love it! Love their appetizers and naan too!
An incredible experience! Authentic Indian/Nepali food served by a warm, family-owned restaurant with wonderful people. Everything we tried was exceptional—especially the Biryani, Tandoori Chicken, and freshly baked Naan. Highly recommend to anyone looking for authentic flavors and a welcoming atmosphere. They’re simply the best around!
Was very skeptical about Indian food because I hate curry & i am very picky … my husband has been dying to order from here and I must say I am very shocked at how much I like my “egg & chicken noodle” stir fry with vegetables! Also the garlic naans was really good. My husband got the chicken tikka Masala and loved his as well.
I have been going to Namaste for a bit now. It is my go to Indian restuarant. The food is always good. Ive become a regular carry out customer and I think the lady who usually gives me my order has recognized me as a regular. I dont know her name but she is always so kind. I only dined in once with a large group and the service was great and they were knowledgable about gluten free items on the menu. I always am happy with my food and service. And like to thank the lady for her kindness( feel bad for not knowing her name.) Adding to my review. I ❤️ Namaste. It is the best food and the kindest lady works there. She always knows me and my orders. I'm always grateful for her kindness. 🙏
