Incredible Indian food here and I would easily come back the next time I’m in Philly. I tried a whole bunch of items from the dosa to the fish tikka masala to the malai kofta. All excellent! I don’t even eat cooked salmon, but it was great in the tikka masala. Definitely try the mango lassi too. So refreshing and tasty! This is a spot you don’t want to miss! Also, they were great about bringing out more waters and as an FYI, they take a student discount.
Absolutely incredible and authentic Indian food! The Gobi Manchurian was hands down the best I’ve ever had—perfectly crispy, flavorful, and just the right amount of spice. The Butter Chicken was rich and creamy, the Malai Kofta was melt-in-your-mouth delicious, and the Orange Kulfi was such a unique and refreshing treat to end the meal. Amazing flavors, great portions, and fantastic service. Will definitely be coming back!
Good Chole Bhature, Masala Dosa, Achari Gosht. I really appreciated the service. Vikas is such a pleasant person! Most Indian restaurants give limited serving of Chole, Virasat gives a good helping and gives additional if need be. Thank you Virasat!!
Very good Indian food spot. The location is great, ample street parking, so no hassle there like actual Center City, which is about 5 minutes away. The decoration is simple yet very cozy and attractive. Food was awesome. Chicken Biriany was on point - soft and fluffy rice with good proportion of spice and well merinated Chicken, Naan was very good. Whole chicken was very juicy. Also tried few other dishes, all were pretty good. Definitely recommend this place.
So glad I chose Virasat to try on Indian food on galantines day. we have tried tandoori shrimp, Hakka noodles and chicken dum biryani. I would definitely recommend dum biryani, it was mouth watery and filled with Indian flavours.
Awesome Indian food. Both veg and nonveg options. Rice served with veg curries Good variety and decent prices. Buffet is good, though we did not take
Absolutely amazing Indian food. If you are looking for the best taste, this is the place to go and nothing else. Must try: Tandoori Mix Platter, Tawa Chicken, Malai Kofta, Cheese Naan, chicken briyani, orange kulfi. And the best place for parties too. We were 20 people, and everything went really well. Quick and very fast service too.
