It's refreshing to see many more Indian restaurants opening up in & around remote spots in PA. Among them, Suvai is here to stay. Their customer service, food quality and ambience are all top notch. Food speaks for itself with the prices being reasonable for the taste. I highly recommend their Thalapakatti Biryani and Mango lassi. It's made with the traditional small grained 'Seeraga Samba rice', giving it the authentic taste & flavor. My only tip would be to mention & confirm the spice levels ahead of ordering as their mild version was spicy for me.
We love Indian food and were excited to try Suvai after reading of its recent opening. It did not disappoint. The Chennai chicken 65 was delicious, maybe only surpassed by the boneless chicken briyani which was a little on the spicy side but so flavorful. Generous portions for all dishes. The naan was served piping hot. We will definitely be back.
Suvai recently opened in Mechanicsburg, and it is now my favorite Indian food! I tried the Cheese Naan, Chennai Chicken 65, Mutton Milagu Fry, Chicken Tikka Masala, and Parotta with Ghee. I appreciate that all of the food is made fresh to order, and therefore you can adjust the spice levels to your liking. As someone who is health conscious, I also like that they offer ghee. I had the pleasure of meeting the owners who were incredibly welcoming and friendly. I definitely recommend trying out this new spot! You WILL find yourself craving this food.
I was driving with family from New Jersey to Virginia, taking I-15 via Harrisburg. We decided to have lunch at an Indian restaurant and found this place conveniently located near the exit. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warm hospitality. The food was absolutely delicious, with rich, authentic flavors that reminded us of home. Every dish was freshly prepared, well-balanced in spices, and served hot. The quality of ingredients was evident in every bite, and the portions were generous. We particularly enjoyed the Thalappakatti Chicken Biryani, which was aromatic and flavorful, capturing the essence of traditional South Indian cuisine. The Chicken 65 and Gobi 65 was crispy and perfectly spiced, making it an excellent starter. The Naan was soft and fluffy, complementing the rich and creamy Chicken Tikka Masala. To end our meal, we had Filter Coffee, which was a delightful reminder of authentic South Indian filter coffee. The service was prompt and friendly, making our dining experience even more enjoyable. If you're passing through or live nearby, this is definitely a must-visit spot for anyone craving real Indian flavors!
Food is delicious. I’ve done takeouts and dined in. Tried various dishes. Dosa (plain and masala), Pongal vada combo, idli vada combo, Chicken Milagu fry, filter coffee, double ka meetha are all excellent. Kotu Parotta are only good for dine-in. Somehow doesn’t taste as good in takeout. Mutton kotu parotta is better than vegetarian version. My colleagues who were visiting from India LOVED the food. They said biryani was authentic in taste. Could be better - chicken tikka masala and country chicken curry. NOT A FAN of the 3% credit card fees. None of the other restaurants charge for using credit card
We had a great experience at Suvai! The food tastes really authentic and full of flavor. We tried the pepper paneer, parota, naan with kadai paneer, and talapakatti biryani—everything was delicious and perfectly spiced. The food was fresh and well-cooked. The service was great and the staff very welcoming. If you love Indian food or want to try something new, I definitely recommend Suvai!
Tried this place for the first time and I’m so glad I did! As someone who’s been missing authentic Indian flavors, this place hit the spot. Great portion sizes, good prices, and amazing hospitality.
