Food was great. Service was pleasant. I love Indian cuisine. We got seated right away. Appetizers came up fairly quickly and portion sizes were pretty standard. I would recommend and go back again.
10 out of 10. Would definitely recommend. I had the chicken vindaloo, it is spicy. I hope your stomach can handle it.
The food was really good. I went there alone on a Friday night without reservation so I was offered to sit on the bar as no tables were available. I don’t drink alcohol so Mike made me the best Virgin Pina Colada I have ever tasted. I ordered Tandoori Chicken & Truffle Parmesan Nan. It opens till 10:00 PM usually so a great destination for a late night good food.
It was all really delicious. We started with the Lasooni Cauliflower, the coating on it was crispy and very flavorful. (Similar to General Tso's chicken in flavor, but distinctly Indian.) Following the recommendations of some of the local guys who work nearby we got the Butter Chicken and the Chicken Tikka Masala. They were both amazing, the Butter Chicken has a smoother taste, and the Masala had a little more acidity from the tomato base. The curry spices were perfect. We bought extra rice, as recommended by locals, and that was the right choice. If I were ordering again, I would also buy some extra Naan, it was so soft, great for dipping into the sauces, and once again, balanced well flavorwise.
Tabla’s menu is primarily inspired by North Indian dishes while incorporating some innovative fusion dishes such as truffle and sun-dried tomato naan, spice-flavored drinks, and tapas.
Had a wonderfully pleasant surprise here, good food and ambience in the midst of the city's hustle. Quite authentic Indian fare and decently priced. Nicely managed upmarket ambience with an Indian twist. Lovely staff too! Parking is available in the parking lot in the basement for a mere $3. The leafy Chaat was amazing and so was the dal!
This was my first time trying authentic Indian food and it did not disappoint. I feel like anyone who enjoys trying different cuisines would appreciate this restaurant. The service and ambiance were outstanding. Im looking forward to trying some more things on the menu.
