I recently had the pleasure of dining at this modern Indian restaurant, and it exceeded all my expectations. The customer service was top-notch, with a team that was not only welcoming but also incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and eager to make recommendations. From the moment I walked in, I were greeted with warmth, and the entire staff made us feel like part of the family. The ambiance was inviting and comfortable, making it the perfect spot for both casual family dinners and business gatherings. The restaurant shares the same entrance as the hotel’s parking lot, so it’s easy to find and convenient for parking. As for the food, it was an authentic Indian experience. The garlic naan was perfectly baked—crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside—and paired beautifully with the rich, flavorful saag paneer, which was cooked to perfection. The spices were balanced and true to the traditional Indian style. Additionally, the restaurant offers a selection of alcoholic beverages, making it a great option for both business meetings and special celebrations like birthday parties. With its excellent service, incredible food, and versatile atmosphere, this place is a must-visit for any occasion. Thank You to the Entire Team Raj
Wanted Indian cuisine on a whim. Truly a great find! The customer service was amazing, we felt very welcome from the moment we walked in the door. The food was wonderful, service was quick, and the atmosphere was pleasant. We will definitely be back.
Hidden gem, one of my favorite places now, food is amazing, great portions, naan bread is one of the best I’ve had. Service is top notch, you can ask for advice on picking your meal and they never disappoint. I’ve eaten in similar restaurants in different states, but this one is the absolute best.. In the short time I’ve been in the area for work, I’ve become a repeat customer.
As a lover of Indian food for many years and a rather new resident of Media, Mod India Restaurant is hands-down the best Indian Restaurant I've found in the area, including downtown Philadelphia. Their dishes are all fresh, well-prepared, and delicious. It is my go-to place for an Indian food fix.
When you see this restaurant in a budget hotel, your thoughts go in all sorts of directions. There is only one direction to go in… inside to have an amazing meal!! This was our second terrific meal at Mod India. I’ve been eating Indian food since I was a child and it’s a rare opportunity to be able to find a menu that breaks the mold and has dishes that are different from those you are used to eating your whole life in the United States. Obviously, they still have all the classics on the menu, but it’s worth taking a deeper dive into dishes with more complex flavors and sauces. Service is attentive and solicitous - something we experienced both times we were here. The servers really knew the dishes they were describing. My kids really love the Makahni (butter) chicken. The palak chat appetizer is unusual and amazing!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely phenomenal experience at Mod India! From the moment we walked in, the service was outstanding—attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. The food was nothing short of amazing! The chicken tikka masala was rich, flavorful, and perfectly spiced, while the vegetable samosas were crispy, well-seasoned, and absolutely delicious. Even the water tasted great—everything here is top-notch! Don’t let the location fool you—once you step inside, you’re met with a warm, inviting atmosphere and food that rivals the best Indian cuisine anywhere. This place is a true hidden gem, and I can’t wait to come back! Highly recommend!
We’re visiting my husband’s family and they often go to this lovely family owned Indian restaurant and have always been impressed by the service and food. Atmosphere was quiet on a Tuesday night. Much cuter inside than would be expected from the exterior location. We ordered the puffed rice (bhei poori) and asked for a recommendation for a second appetizer that would be mild. Our server suggested the tangi eggplant, which was so crunchy, like a cracker, with some tamarind sauce. The bhei poori is what we’d consider medium spice but probably mild to others. Lovely blend of flavors and textures. I eat primarily plant based so ordered the dal fry and he said they could make less spicy since it usually comes medium. They succeeded and there was just a small hint of heat which was perfect for me. We planned to share so after they chose tikka masala and a creamy veggie dish, we asked him for another suggestion between two options. He suggested the saag paneer, as providing a better range of colors and flavors. With a couple orders of naan, plus the lovely basmati rice, we could only eat half of the generous portions and brought the rest home. Everything was delicious and we particularly appreciated all the help in selecting off the extensive menu.
