The Taj Cafe

Really great spot! We started with the mango lassi and masala lemonade, both were super tasty and refreshing. Got the samosas for an appetizer and they brought out a complimentary one too, which was a nice surprise and really good. We had the lamb curry combo for our main dish with extra garlic cheese naan on the side and it was packed with flavor. Everything we tried was delicious and the service was fast and friendly. Definitely recommend!

What an incredible restaurant!! I was curious about this place after seeing the 1000+ reviews on maps, and after coming in I now understand why. The food is incredible, interior is beautiful, and staff are amazing. My mom and I were thrilled every time they brought out a complimentary appetizer, extra something here and there, and then the extra dessert! What lovely folks. They really care about their customers and providing the best experience possible. Will definitely come here again, and will bring family and friends too. Thank you guys for the incredible service!!

Amazing food and service! This place has become our go-to for Indian food and must have for special occasions. Butter chicken is amazing, definitely recommend. Service is great and in the bustling environment of Downtown Ventura!

The coconut curry meal was flavorflully delicious, garlic naan outstanding. Kind friendly host, attentive server and an overall warm atmosphere. Perfect for date night or weekend lunch, there's an outdoor covered terrace. I'll be back soon. Don't forget to order an appetizer & dessert. Everything I tasted was yummy.

I rarely left reviews on google but this place is SOOOOOOOOO GOOD! The food itself is superb! They even gave us 2 appetizers and deserts! The staffs are super friendly and nice! The atmosphere is very authentic with lots of nice Indian painting, soft Indian music etc! This is the best Indian food I have ever had in the states! 200% recommended!

Food was amazing. Sev puri was tasty with lovely chutney. Fish pakoras were authentic. Had naan and chicken tikka masala was aromatic and tasty. The star was the rice pudding.
