I can't believe I'd never been here before!! The food is so unbelievably good. It's a super warm and welcoming atmosphere, the furniture/decor are super cool, and the people there were very patient with us when we were trying to decide what to order. We ordered the chicken coconut curry with some naan, chicken thukpa, and kheer. I think we were lowkey obsessed with the thukpa, I'd recommend getting that for sure. Otherwise, seriously such a cool place and would totally recommend.

From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm hospitality and the rich aroma of spices that instantly make your mouth water. The menu is packed with flavorful dishes, whether you’re in the mood for a creamy chicken tikka masala, a perfectly spiced lamb vindaloo, or the ever-popular momo dumplings—which are a must-try! Their naan is always fresh and fluffy, and the portions are generous, making it great for sharing or indulging in leftovers the next day. The service is exceptional, with friendly staff always happy to recommend dishes or adjust spice levels to your preference. Plus, the cozy ambiance and traditional décor add to the overall experience, making you feel like you’ve taken a quick trip to Nepal or India. If you’re in Salt Lake City and craving bold, authentic flavors, Himalayan Kitchen is a must-visit! Highly recommended for food lovers looking for something beyond the usual.

Some of the best Indian in SLC. The inside is always very quiet and we are always seated immediately. Pretty much everything on the menu is great. Having come back multiple times, I can say that the chicken in the curry is occasionally a bit dry and the naan is sometimes baked a little too long (that is also personal preference, I like my naan completely soft). The flavor is incredible every time though. I would highly recommend the lamb korma. Their mango lassi is amazing as is their cheese naan. The service has always been great. Our servers have always been there exactly when we need them. The servers’ English varies on who you have, but the owner is always there quickly. There was once a mixup on which side was ordered, and the owner apologized and very quickly brought out the original dish. Very polite and respectful man.

Great food, fairly priced, good central location, comfortable space, and kind service. What more can I ask for? Lovely place for anything from a Monday lunch to family celebrations.

This restaurant has such a warm and welcoming atmosphere, it’s absolutely gorgeous! From the moment I walked in, I felt at home. The staff was incredibly friendly, making the experience even better. It truly deserves more recognition! The service was prompt, and every dish was bursting with flavor. I even felt tempted to speak in Nepali or Hindi because the place felt so familiar. The only downside was the samosa—the filling had a grayish tint and tasted a bit old—but I still appreciate the effort that went into preparing it. Aside from that, everything was incredibly delicious! A huge thank you to the wonderful staff for their kindness and excellent service. I’ll definitely be coming back the next time I’m in Utah!

Himalayan Kitchen has a nice relaxing atmosphere with great food. We started off with the bread basket and assorted meat platter. Both were really good and provided great samples of breads and meats. The included sauces were also amazing. For the entrees we had the prawn curry and butter chicken. Both of these had amazing flavor and would recommend. For desserts we had the pistachio ice cream and rice pudding. The ice cream was awesome but the rice pudding was a bit underwhelming but still decent. Overall this place was great with amazing food and fast service.

The food here is always delicious. I have yet to order an item that I don't like. I feel like the levels of spiciness can vary, but that's something I'm willing to risk when the food is so good. The service is also phenomenal. Very attentive staff and they are always very polite.
