Great Indian Kitchen Restaurant & Bar

I had the pleasure of dining at Great Indian Kitchen in Albany, and it exceeded all my expectations. The buffet offered an extensive selection of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, representing authentic flavors from both North and South Indian cuisines. Every dish I tried was delicious and full of traditional, rich taste. The ambiance of the restaurant is warm, welcoming, and impeccably clean. It's conveniently located just 5 minutes off the highway, making it an easy stop for anyone traveling on 87 N/S or 90 E/W in New York State. It's the perfect spot for a break without a big detour, ideal for travelers seeking a quick yet fulfilling meal. The staff were incredibly courteous and attentive, making the entire dining experience even more enjoyable. I visited on a Saturday, and the buffet was superb, offering a wide variety of dishes at a very reasonable price. It's a great opportunity to sample different Indian dishes if you're new to the cuisine. I would highly recommend Great Indian Kitchen to anyone in the area or passing through. A must-visit for lovers of authentic Indian food!

The chef is fantastic and the food is just amazing as well as the service. The waitress who waited on me Retu was kind, caring, nice and so amazing!! Such awesome food and such great great service from Retu and she's only been here for a couple weeks! I would strongly recommend this place. It's my favorite Indian restaurant in the whole Capital district and I've been to them all! :)))

Fantastic tastes We are regulars and always satifying,but Christmas Day was exceptional with new tastes. Not to mention the great hospitable staff in this service declining Society but not at THE GREAT INDIAN KITCHEN. Classy old world experience Thank You so much.

Very reasonable price for what you get. Food was very tasty and fresh, many selections to choose from, service was friendly and they bring you fresh naan bread the time which was delicious.

The best Indian buffet I've had! The staff are very knowledgeable on which is vegan and there are so many options for everyone, everything was fresh and constantly restocked plus the spices were incredible! Well worth the price Update- went for dinner and ordered dosa uthappam and curries, the vegan options are clearly labeled, the dosa texture is perfect and our server was so kind

We stumbled upon this fantastic Indian restaurant while traveling from Canada to New Jersey. The spacious seating, attentive staff, and delicious food with a wide buffet variety in both veg and non veg made it a great find. See the pics for food served on buffet. The Kadak Chai, especially in the rainy weather, was the perfect finishing touch. I highly recommend this restaurant, owned by a Keralite. Appreciate clean restrooms which shows the importance of hygiene.

Nice lunch buffet with many different choices. I enjoyed the atmosphere in the dining area as well. Spaced out tables so you can enjoy your meal. Very clean dining area. The service was very polite from walking in the door to the time you leave after your meal. The food was cooked and seasoned very well. The grilled chicken and the goat curry were my two favorite items on the buffet. We will definitely be returning again sometime to enjoy some more wonderful food.
