Second time we visited Tamarind on our trip to NYC from California. Initially the service was a bit rocky until Akash took over . Smooth sailing from there . Went back the next day for dinner as well. Amazing drinks and lamb chops and chicken dishes. For great service always ask for Vinay as your server and try to get in touch with Akash prior to going over . Highly recommend!

If you’re looking for an unforgettable Indian culinary experience, look no further! I recently had the pleasure of indulging in an array of dishes that absolutely blew my mind. Starting with the **Pathar ke Kebab**, these delicacies were perfectly cooked on a stone slab, infused with a delightful blend of spices that left my taste buds tingling. Each bite was tender and bursting with flavor, making it an incredible appetizer. Next, the **Masaledar Chop** took things up a notch. These spicy chops were rich, savory, and incredibly satisfying. Each piece was seasoned to perfection, and I couldn’t get enough of the robust flavors. The highlight of the meal was undeniably the **Nalli Gosht**. This lamb dish was a standout! The meat was so tender it practically melted in my mouth, and the aromatic gravy was a symphony of spices that paired perfectly with rice or bread. It was a comforting and rich dish that left me craving more. The **Paneer Saffron Biryani** was another masterpiece. The saffron infused layers of fragrant basmati rice combined with soft, flavorful paneer made for a delightful vegetarian option. It was both aromatic and visually stunning, truly elevating the meal. To top off this culinary adventure, the **Kulfi** was the perfect ending. Creamy, rich, and with just the right amount of sweetness, it provided a refreshing contrast to the spiced dishes. Overall, this meal was a joyous celebration of flavors, especially for lamb lovers like me. I highly recommend trying these dishes; they have truly made me fall in love with Indian cuisine all over again

The restaurant has a beautiful ambiance, featuring a thoughtfully designed interior that enhances its overall charm. Despite the busy atmosphere, the service was excellent. Our server was attentive, friendly, and incredibly helpful in guiding me through the menu, as I am not very familiar with Indian cuisine. Every dish was flavorful, perfectly spiced, and beautifully presented. I particularly enjoyed the Garlic Naan and Chicken Tikka Masala. For dessert, I had Gajrela (Carrot Halwa). Although I’m not a big fan of that particular dessert, I plan to try something different next time. Overall, I would definitely return to explore more of their menu.

Among the best Indian restaurants right now in the City. Posh ambiance. Attentive, polite, professional staff. Tables far enough apart to not have to bump into people. Drinks hit the spot - could be a tad stronger for better balance. Some of their cocktails were delicious - particularly the Raj Royale. Appetizers - rasam, hara bhara kebab, paneer - were superb. Being a Bengali I had to try the daab chingri (shrimp in young coconut) - lip smashingly delicious. The malai halibut and Kerala fish were equally flavorful. For desserts - rasmalai is good, kulfi is better, but I still feel the entrees beat the desserts in taste, and the appetizers give the entrees a run for their flavors.

Love this place. The food is always tasty, freshly prepared and the menu has great variety of classic Indian dishes. It’s a large and well kept restaurant, ample seating and spacious layout. The service is friendly and prompt. A must try Indian restaurant.

This was an unreal experience for my friends and I! The atmosphere was amazing, they took us in right away and helped us to the table. The service was just impeccable, they answered all our questions and made sure we felt comfortable! The place offers a set menu and a chose your own dishes menu. I recommend the a la Carte menu, gives you lots of options. The display of the food was stunning, and with each bite the hype of this Michelin star Indian restaurant lived up to and delivered! The lamp cops had my friend saying don’t talk to him as he enjoys this stunning food. The portion sizes were good and certainly filling for all plates! The deserts were amazing the Kulfi ice cream is a must have if you are visiting here! Overall, we would come again we couldn’t get enough of this place and the service made us very happy!
