Visited this place last week and was happily surprised. The staff is Marathi and very friendly. The food quality is superb and the quantity is huge. The place is very clean and spotless. It has a great ambiance. There is dedicated parking in the lot. Try the Fried Rice and Chicken Angara.
It was so good. Nash’s recommendation on the pepper chicken was a hit, I ate every bit of that. The wings were awesome got the masala and Asian zest. And as always the dynamite gobi and fried corn were delicious. We also got the chicken fried rice and Hakka chicken noodles were a big hit, brought so much back home for snacks as the portions were good sized. I have to give it to Avinash for a wonderful dinner service this afternoon. Merry Christmas to everyone who was working today. Avinash and your staff are always on top of their game. Top notch service as always. If you are looking for something new to try and have great taste buds for different levels of heat for your dishes on top of the herbs and seasonings I would highly recommend this establishment. Repeat customer as my wife and I love this restaurant.
The food is SO good and unique. We ordered the chicken tandoori momos (unlike any momos I've ever had and very good), Schezwan noodles (an absolute flavor bomb, delicious), Old Delhi butter chicken (much sweeter than butter chicken I've had before but still very good), and butter naan (yum!). Be warned that the entrees do not come with rice, so you need to order it separately if you want it. The portion sizes were big, service was good, and ambiance was very nice too. Highly recommend checking this place out!
The food is just magnificent. Every single time. They lean to the mold side w spiciness so it gets my food very hot. Their chicken tandoori momos are SO good! Can't say enough good about this place. The service wasn't great the first two times but then we got someone who was friendlier and more attentive. I think this is the best Indian food in town.
My boyfriend and I go to 1947 eatery often. Nash always greets us once we walk in and makes sure we have everything we need and everything is running smoothly. The rest of the staff are very friendly and attentive as well. The food (like the service) always exceeds our expectations. This has quickly become one of our favorite places to eat. We have truly gotten a bit of everything. Chicken curry, butter chicken, chicken wings, tandoori chicken, salmon, sea bass, shrimp, lamb chops, rice and garlic naan. We have also dabbled in a few specialty cocktails. I cannot express how nice the staff was. The food is always spot on! Our personal favorites are definitely the lamb chops, chicken wings, and sea bass. Here are a few pics I’ve taken….
I went with my eldest child for their birthday based on a recommendation from a friend. The service and food was beyond excellent! The atmosphere was lovely, music was great and not too loud. We did not sit at the bar but went in to look around. They really did a great job decorating. It gave me vibes of being back in Bangaluru. I will definitely go back, wish I lived closer. If you love Indian food, go!
LOVE this place. The atmosphere is perfect. The service is always amazing and the gentlemen who work here are very kind and attentive. They have the best naan in Indy and the best desserts. Our son wanted to come here for his birthday and they put a happy birthday song on for him with a cheesecake and candle. It was so kind.
