My husband and I visited a few weeks ago and it was absolutely amazing! It was our first time trying authentic Indian food and we were unsure of what to get. Our waiter was super friendly and helpful. Atmosphere was calm and clean and there were TVs at the bar of you wanted to watch TV. We chose a booth and didn't have to wait long at all for drinks. I got the Mango margarita (delicious). My husband got beer that he liked but I can't remember what it was. We got the Vegetable Samosa for an app, which we loved. I got the Special Chicken Curry (mild heat) for my meal. It was perfect on spice and chicken was so tender! My husband got the Boti Kabob (lamb kabob)(medium heat) and he also said it was perfect on spice and absolutely delicious. Oh and cant forget the gaelic & cheese Naan bread!! Yum! We even got a complimentary Rice Pudding for dessert. We loved our experience here and the food and will be back soon!
We were a group of 5 people looking for something to eat after shopping at Merrimack. Since it's located in NH, we first didn't have high hopes. But we were wrong. The food here is really good. Our recommended dishes are Chicken 65, Tandoori Salmon (needed more salt but was perfectly cooked), Aloo Gobi Mattar. We also ordered the Gobi Manchurian ( which was a little sweeter side but was very crispy and cooked to perfection), and the tandoori chicken biryani (this was OK the meat didnt taste good). They owner and staff are really sweet and kind they gave us 3 small bowls of complimentary kheers, which was super tasty (highly recommended)
The food was delicious. The basmati rice was delicately flavored. The Butter Chicken had a wonderful warm flavor. The Goat Curry was big hit. I enjoyed the Lamb Saag. The Navratan Korma was perfect, hot and spicy. The cheese garlic Naan smells glorious. I'm glad Destination India has opened in Hampton. The servers are so nice. The chefs are genius.
The hubby and I decided to try Indian food, and due to the positive reviews we decided to try Destination India. We were not disappointed, the food, drinks, prices and service were all great. I didn't care for the shrimp dishes we had, however the butter chicken and gulab jamun dessert were fantastic.
I recently dined at DI, and it was an incredible experience! The food was flavorful and perfectly spiced, with a great balance of traditional and unique dishes on the menu. The butter chicken, chili chicken and garlic naan were absolute standouts, and the portions were extremely generous. Roy on the bar is super friendly and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot for both casual meals and special occasions. If you’re looking for delicious, authentic Indian cuisine, I highly recommend DI. I’ll definitely be coming back!
My husband and I visited Destination India for dinner on a Tuesday night. The restaurant wasn’t very busy, and we were seated immediately. We started with the Spinach Pakora and Onion Bhaji. I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect, but the dish arrived as a spinach and onion fritter, served with a variety of chutneys. Our server helpfully explained the different chutneys, which enhanced our understanding of the flavors. While it was an interesting dish, I wouldn’t order it again. For the main course, I had the Mango Chicken, and my husband chose the Lamb Curry (medium spice), accompanied by a side of garlic naan. The food was absolutely outstanding—some of the best Indian cuisine I’ve had. The flavors were rich and well-balanced, and the naan was the perfect complement. The service was attentive, and while the restaurant's ambiance was average, the incredible food more than made up for it. Overall, it was a fantastic meal, and we’ll definitely be back!
Destination India is one of our favorite restaurants. They have amazing food and service. We are always made to feel welcome and have never had a bad meal. They made us some beautiful vegetarian thalis to celebrate birthdays for two of our kids. It was great to get to taste many of their flavor filled dishes. The garlic naan is so good !!! Also any of the tandoori dishes, chicken saag, and chicken vindaloo are amazing. We can’t wait for our next visit!
