Food was out of this world! I'm shocked they weren't busier, though we did come on Black Friday. I ordered the larger of the two lunch specials and my spouse ordered the butter chicken. The food was so good I forgot to take a picture before killing it off. I've been to a few other Indian places in the Overland Park/Olathe area, and while they were all alright, this place is by far my favorite. I'll be making this a regular stop, and I encourage anyone reading this to do the same!
The food is amazing and portion size is generous. The pricing is good and the staff are friendly. Ordered take-out - 4 sabzees, fried rice, rotis, and bill came to around 110, unbelievable. Have a few friends who swear by this place for their thaali. Hope their business keeps getting better and we get to continue enjoying their food!!
Three friends and I came here for dinner. The four of us got the tandoori combination dinner for three (adding an order of shrimp curry) and although we all ate our fill, we still took a ton of food home! Everything was delicious and all the employees were kind and helpful. This place is great. I will return soon!
Great North Indian style food! Service is usually quick and I feel like family when I come here. I saw some reviews mentioning rude staff. I'm not sure where that comes from. Seema is very kind to me and I've never seen any rude behavior. Highly recommend the veg lunchbox, lamb curry is great as well as any of the karahi dishes.
Food is wonderful. Servers are wonderful. But, uh, the female (owner/boss?) picked a fight very loudly with her employees while we were there and proceeded to rip them apart for not working hard enough and being too distracted while she herself decided to socialize with her friends the entire time. Definitely hilarious to watch. Seems like she sucks as a boss but everyone else was fantastic and great. If there was any distracted at all it happened because she wouldn't shut the eff up and kept distracting her own employees by yelling.
I don’t remember what first drew me to Touch of Asia, but it’s been my default Indian restaurant for years. To be sure, this isn’t gourmet cuisine. But for simple central Asian food, this does the trick nicely. Waitstaff are consistently polite and competent. The dining area isn’t fancy, but I like it when they play music videos on the TV screens. I’m particularly fond of the veggie pakoras, and I was also pleased to note on my most recent visit that they’ve switched to putting condiments in squeeze bottles rather than dishes. That seems both easier and less wasteful. My usual entree is the Chicken Tikka Masala, which has been a little inconsistent of late. I find the mild spice level somewhat underwhelming. But the last time I asked for medium spicy, it bordered on inedibly hot. The garlic naan isn’t super by itself, but it’s great for dipping in the sauce.
The interior is very spacious with tables and booths. Conversation can easily be participated in without issue. The menu is well appointed with many many options to choose from. I chose Chicken Tikki Masala with a mild sauce and let me tell you, it was absolutely fantastic! I will be working my way around the menu on subsequent visits.
