It was super fun to eat out with the kids. The food is spicy even at the mild level. They seem to be a little stingy on the rice. We ordered four adult meals, and they only brought out one bowl of rice. We asked for more and they brought it out. They were super sweet with the kids, though, and even brought out some yogurt to try and make it a little more mild for them to be able to eat. Overall, it was a good experience.
Such a good experience every time I have gone to this restaurant! The food is absolutely fantastic, the korma is rich and perfectly made. The owner always comes over to make sure the food is up to standard, and that each table is catered to. Overall you can tell how much care and quality this family puts into not only guest experience, but making sure you leave happy with everything you order!
In visiting from out of town, came downtown to enjoy the buffet, but Hamza (host and server) informed me that they didn't offer it anymore, he happily informed me of another Indian buffet closely, by he was so pleasant, along with the atmosphere, that I decided to stay and order off the menu. (What a good choice, doing so!) I had the butter chicken, served with rice, was a nice sized portion, and it was absolutely delicious! The flavors and spices were perfect! Hamza was very attentive without being overbearing. When I was finished with my meal,we visited for several minutes like we'd known each other for a long time. I definately reccomend this establishment for a wonderful outing for lunch or dinner!
Their service is top notch! Food is made from scratch, no added colors or any kind of unnecessary ingredients. Loved the time there!
Hadn't visited this place in a while. Fairly good ambience and good food. Seating was quick, the order was quick to place but the food delivery was glacially slow. The waiter did mention that things are prepared from scratch so it will be slow. Lassi was in big bottles, so you get around 1.5 glass. Food had a good flavor. only complain would be that there were belly dancers and their music was very loud. It was good entertainment but essentially couldn't hear anything else.
This place will forever have my heart!! The food, the service, and staff are amazing!! They always try to cater to all your needs and alway make sure you are having a good experience!! I love Taj and will forever be my favorite place in Downtown Boise for when I am in the mood/craving Indian food or for a date night!! π( also helps when they are homies tooππ«Ά)
We did not have much time when we came in for lunch today and the Taj Mahal staff were very accommodating for us. We tried hot tika masala, mild tika, mild butter chicken, garlic naan, pakora and chai tea. I thought everything tasted excellent and it all came out steaming hot. They cook everything in house here and do not use any dyes in their food. Right up the escalator near the balcony bar. Worth a trip in! I will be back, my family also all enjoyed their food as well.
