Cool little authentic Indian place with reasonable prices. BYOB -they provide glasses and will open wine/beer. Lots of appetizers and entrees from which to choose. Many vegetarian options. It is small and crowded and fun. We had reservations for a party of 5 on a Friday night for a birthday celebration. Service is excellent, attentive without being obsequious. Can't wait to go back.
I went here as a kid and I can't believe I almost forgot about this truly amazing, unforgettable restaurant. Amazing food and unparalleled ambiance. Other reviewers note cash only and BYOB so you need to go to an ATM and bring alcohol (though lassis are on offer). We got the sylhet saag (savory and delicious), Kati chicken and poori appetizer (awesome and bread is fresh) and tandoori chicken (not the most flavorful but redder than the decor). I only wish they would open a Panna III in my neighborhood :)
This place offers a unique experience in New York's vibrant East Village. The space is small but charming, decorated with colorful lights that create a festive atmosphere. The food is delicious and the prices are affordable. They allow you to bring your own alcohol, we brought beers and the staff kindly opened them for us. Overall, it's a delightful spot to enjoy a fun night with great food and friends.
The food was very fresh and tasty! The staff is friendly. Food tastes like traditional homemade Indian food and reminded me of the original Indian taste! I highly recommend this place! I ordered Paneer tikka masala, garlic paratha, and mango ice cream.
Came back after 15 years and still a great experience! Food was fresh and the service was great! Also great ambiance and music. High recommend.
Authentic indian food with a very fun and different ambience. Extremely good prices for really good food.
Superb food and excellent service. I will definitely be returning. My son had a seafood combo, tandoori lamb, I had lamb biryani and for appetizer we had coconut samosas for drinks mango lassies. They also gave us complementary dessert. Would definitely recommend. Beautiful atmosphere and overall pleasurable dining experience.
