The Oven

My friend and I both got chicken vindaloo for lunch and devoured it. The portions were really generous, and our server, Gabriella, made this a 5-star lunch experience for us. I was tearing up from the spiciness of my meal, so she brought us some cucumber yogurt to cool off our palette. She also brought us a small bowl of soup to try, since we went with the salad to accompany our meal. Exceptional service, and a great dining experience all around. 🍛

Our favorite restaurant in Lincoln!! Try the soup instead of the salad! You’ll love it, but it is just a little hot for anyone worried about spicy. You must get one of their dishes with lamb because it’s amazing and tender. My personal favorite is the Lamb Bhuna and Michael’s is the Lamb Hyderabadi Biryani. For nonalcoholic try their Mango Lassi. Their mixed drinks are good, and their wine selection is phenomenal! The sommelier knows what he’s doing, so he can help you with anything, plus he’s just a really great guy. We have always had great service at The Oven and the atmosphere is versatile for a casual or classy outing. It can get pretty busy and sometimes parking in the Haymarket can be hard (unless you know the secret spots). For dessert the Mango Kulfi is delicious, really anything mango there is going to be great. This place is totally worth it, best Indian food I’ve had!!

Tasty food for sure. The wheat naan 🫓 was really tasty! The service was polite and prompt. The only thing that wasn’t the best was the fact that our table was SUPER close to the one next to us. I was barely able to sit down and get up without feeling like I was putting my butt in the face of the people next to us. Other than that, the food was delicious.

Arrived October 11th 2024 on a Friday night at 7:30. We were seated very quickly. Service was awesome for a place that is so busy. Especially Ashley our server she was very knowledgeable. We can’t say enough about the staff. Checked on us constantly. Ordered the sampler appetizer and received it in 5 minutes. The soup that comes with the meal is something you crave when you are sick. Just feels like a home made soup. We order the Thali non vegetable sampler and got to taste so many different dishes and we were not disappointed in any of them. Will definitely be back when we are in the area.

I know same picture, different angles BUT it was so good @theoven_ne I love Indian flavors and the Thali didn’t disappoint. We shared the portion with 2 people and it was a perfect amount of food. We did get the garlic naan too because it is garlic naan!! Flavors were great. The favorites were the Rogan Josh, the curries and maah dal. I would eat all of it again and again.

Went for the first time and I will definitely be back! The food was delicious and definitely you wouldn't expect to find in Lincoln. The only complaint I have is that our waiter rarely visited us and I never got the chance to get a refill of water. Give this place a shot! The flavors are exquisite!

The lamb bhuna is in the top 3 of the best meals I’ve ever had in my life. Hands down! The perfect amount of heat, the flavor is so rich & delicious! We have ordered it take out several times & it has been consistently amazing. Before we ever tried the Bhuna, we have eaten several other menu entrees & they have also been exceptional!
