When I was craving Indian food for Valentine’s Day, I imagined we were going to go to an upscale place looking at these reviews. I was surprised upon arrival how casual and relaxed the atmosphere here was. The food and service were top tier, it did not disappoint, and on the contrary really impressed me. The portions were huge and left us plenty to take home, I was enjoying the food so much that I forgot to take photos before eating. The naan and veggie samosas were incredible, and the mango lassi was the best I have ever had. I enjoyed every minute of this lovely date with my sweetheart. If you’re in the Scranton area and enjoy Indian cuisine, I 10 out of 10 recommend trying it.
Bitoo's Tikka is one of our top 3 places to eat in the area. Between my wife and I, we’ve probably tried 70% of the menu at this point and haven’t found anything we didn’t like. Standout favorites include the charred cauliflower tikka (How cauliflower can taste so good I’ll never know), the chicken tikka, the drumstick kabobs (The seasoning on these two is perfect with a little lime) and last but absolutely not least, Grandma’s Curry with goat. I must admit, I kind of stopped exploring the menu after I ordered Grandma’s Curry, I get that pretty much every visit now. Luckily my wife can never finish what she orders and has set a goal of trying everything on the menu, so I’ve gotten to try a lot of other dishes. More on the curry! I don't know how they cook the goat, but they know what they're doing, because it just falls off the bone and adds fantastic flavor to the curry. If you’d prefer something without bones, go with the lamb. I’ve had both, and while the lamb is super tender too, the goat is my favorite. On top of the great food, the service is always warm and welcoming. If you haven’t eaten here yet, you should absolutely try it. Highly recommend!
Bittoo’s Tikka never disappoints! We came in for a relaxed dinner and left already planning our next visit. The atmosphere is laid back and calm—perfect for unwinding while enjoying some seriously flavorful food. The Tikka Masala Bowl was rich, creamy, and packed with perfectly balanced spices that hit all the right notes. The Malabar Curry Bowl was equally incredible—bold, aromatic, and deeply satisfying. And don’t even get me started on the garlic naan... soft, buttery, and just the right amount of char. If you’re craving Indian comfort food done right, this place is a must. Can’t recommend it enough.
Amazing place, I placed a to go order, I had to run some errands and by the time i arrived it had been a considerable amount of time. the owner re-cooked my food free of charge and was stellar in his attention to detail and providing good service. Beyond all of the prior the food was amazing and everything I expected and then some 5/5
Discovered this nice Indian restaurant while visiting Scranton. Was initially unsure of the place despite its high rating as the reviews were mostly from the locals. Having tasted the food, i can vouch for its authenticity, taste and the warm and friendly service. I ordered roti, kashmiri naan, Paneer tikka masala, Malai kofta, and dahi puri. All very good. Highly recommend trying it out if in the area.
It is all about the food. Outstanding. Best in NE Pennsylvania. The vegetable samosas were the best ever! Not overdone with a flaky crust. Then the original chicken tikka with the salad and finely sliced cucumber and onions. White meat chicken perfectly seasoned and so tender. The mint sauce and the tamarind sauce were also flavorful and the perfect consistency. Casual dining with prompt and friendly service. Plastic utensils, but it is about the food! I’ll be back. This is worth every penny.
I have been here a handful of times. I’m a white man. I know nothing about Indian food. They are always very accommodating and patient. I told him I wanted to try something for the first time Pani Puri and he gave it to me on the house so I can try it without worry I don’t like it. The mango lassi is so good. The food is 10/10. They know what they’re doing. They provided a very good experience as always and I will continue to bring my business here. I will say it is pricey but it’s justified with the high quality dishes they produce. I recommend everyone looking at the reviews to decide on their own. The negative reviews are wrong!!!!
