Everything we ate at Tikka Pizza Kitchen was delicious! We had the curry veggie delight pizza - it has a satisfying creamy curry “cheese” sauce, tasty vegetables, and good soft-chewy-slightly crisp crust. So good, I ordered one to take home. Rani at the register gave great suggestions and excellent customer service. We ate inside at the one tiny table, so I might not suggest hosting a big party there. Instead get some takeout or have them cater!
A unique hybrid of cuisines for sure. The flavors and spiciness were amazing and at times, overwhelming for a pizza. Slices are cut well and with the right size. Crust is like a pizza crust, unlike a Naan as expected - but overall very nice. Checking through menu to see the other dishes being offered - willing to come back and try more plates.
TPK is truly the most underrated pizza joint I have ever tried. Their Indo-Chinese fusion dishes are phenomenal and unlike anything I’ve experienced here in Escondido. For starters, the curry veggie pizza (Achari Gobhi) has flavours you will surely not find in this part of the world—the spices TPK uses to form their curry sauce are unbelievably aromatic and extraordinarily fresh (you can even ask for extra!) I found myself nibbling on the whole cardamom remnants stewed into the sauce and enjoying an experience I’ve never had before. TPK buttered the crust with some sort of ghee (?) that was delectably soft yet mouth-wateringly crispy. For sides, I got the samosas and the chilli paneer. Both were beyond remarkable and were of quality I could expect from only a sit-down restaurant. The samosas came with two delicious sauces: mint chutney and tamarind. The flavour on these were seriously stunning—an abundance of fresh mint made the chutney so vibrant and feel so alive, while the tamarind had a warm, soothing sweetness to it that was unlike anything I’ve found in a sauce before. Needless to say, it made me grin with tremendous joy. When I picked up my order, the shop smelled so strongly of these deliciously fragrant notes and of so many more—mint, tamarind, cardamom, clove, cinnamon, smoked wood, etc.—it was something better than any Yankee Candle you could ever find. The staff were so friendly and eager to help, even as busy as they were. I could tell they put an extraordinary amount of love into their work, and it’s undeniable in the taste of every dish I’ve tried at TPK. I really hope Tikka Pizza Kitchen continues to gain traction here in Escondido and impresses many more to come. Absolutely wonderful take-away experience and a truly amazing lunch / dinner offering. 10/10 will be returning happily again. Some suggestions for the business: Improve the phone order process (i.e., ensure contact info correctness); Advertise more consistently across the website and in-store (e.g., up-to-date menus - I never even saw the mouth-watering Pav Bhaji in the printed and canvased menus in the shop); and, consider offering hot beverages that make splendid use of the aromas in your spice collection (chai, please!). Also, to Google and the ad mob like: please be ultra considerate to this small business and others—we are hurt by your ad mob network and cannot afford to be buried under your politics of profit hoarding and extraction by your coercive means. Supporting this particular cuisine and its ethnic heritage as it is has been brought lovingly here to the U.S. by authentic businesses like TPK in Escondido should be of very special interest to you, Mr. Sundar Pichai, and your fair support to them would be an absolute requirement of mine. Ruling your agenda of extortion should not come before the prosperity of the working class people who are committing their lives to sharing your roots with us so peacefully here. Thank you, TPK.
Oh my goodness . I LOVE Indian food and I have been eyeballing this place, but hesitant because I am very picky with good Indian food: let me tell you their pizza and calzone was fire !!!!! So glad we finally tried this place Paneer tikka masala ⭐️ Vegan Saag pizza ⭐️ Cheese calzone ⭐️
Really enjoyed this place. It's been meaning to try out for a while. I tried the curry veggie pizza and it was really flavorful... Delicious. Also tried a bite of my wife's saang paneer which was also fantastic. My son loved the tandoori chicken. Ordered for pickup in advance and it was hot and ready. Rhani(sp) was very helpful and friendly. They do need to fix up some of the ordering menus online as they didn't all agree. We'll definitely be back!
I went pretty late before closing, so I can’t really say much about the atmosphere the restaurant super clean and you can smell all the spices. I got home with this hot pizza and took a bite of the tandoori chicken. I thought I was going to miss all the Indian food I had access to further south in San Diego but this tandoori chicken pizza wow 10 out of 10.
Amazing place with great tasting pizzas inspired by Indian dishes! Crispy wood fired crust and very flavorful ingredients. The mango lassi is delicious and pairs great with the pizza. They also make homemade marinara sauce.
