Very nice place ! Food is sooooo good! We had chicken tikka masala, chickpeas in read sauce , garlic naan, and vegetable samosa . Check came out to $60, which is fine for this amount of food , we even took some home . I really loved that the music was not loud and we could actually hear each other. They have an option of booth or table . We set on a booth with pillows ( you are supposed to take of your shoes). Waitress was nice , food was brought out quick , overall it was great experience!
By far, the best mint chutney I have ever had. Typically, I push it to the side immediately. But the waitress said the chef makes his own from scratch. Perfection. The entree was delicious. We ordered medium since we have not eaten here before. Normally, our spice is at a 7 or 8. We asked for more spice, and they delivered! Goose bumps and a little forehead sweat. Awesome service and atmosphere. Excited to come back and try the buffet on Sundays. Daughter said they have the nicest bathrooms she has ever been in!
I read a review that said, the wait time was a little long. There is a reason the freshly prepared dishes are definitely worth the wait. Every dish is prepared individually and extremely fresh. After eating in New Delhi for years, this is the ONLY Indian restaurant that uses the spices I crave. Thank you for the taste, the effort and the love Tandoor puts into every meal. I do believe weβve tried every other Indian restaurant in Middle Tennessee. The service is also, top of the line. Thank you, Phyllis and Sloane Hunter
Always amazing food and good service. The chicken tikka masala always has flavorful sauce and moist chicken. The garlic herb cheese stuffed non bread is the best of the best. We've tried a good variety of stuff here and really like the Sunday lunch buffet because you can sample a few different things without feeling like you have to order everything on the menu the first time. The pekoras are good and the chicken 65 is delicious. The side salad is fairly large and has a very good poppy seed dressing. You really can't go wrong here unless it's with a family of loud children playing on tablets. That has happened occasionally but that's not too blame the restaurant for. That is for the bad parenting. You can sit in the traditional seats, booths, or tables. Overall you really can't go wrong here.
I came for the buffet again. I like the buffet because of the variety and quality of the food presented. Other places serving the genre of food have come and gone in this city and Tandoor is still here. That tells you a bit about what you can expect. I love the fact that on the buffet the selections may not be the same day to day and that makes you want to come back and try another dish. I have not had anything that was not authentic and delicious from the buffet or the menu in the many years I have been coming here. The lamb balls were seasoned perfectly with an addicting flavor. The rice was also cooked perfectly and tasty with the fresh veggies in it. The 2 types of Naan was delicious and a nice touch for variety. One of my favorites was the fried spinach. The fried spinach was so very tasty. The eggplant was cooked perfectly with a nice not too firm outside and a not too mushy middle. Very good. I have eaten Indian food all over the country and Tandoor ranks in my top 5. The dining area is well decorated, clean, and has a casual relaxed feeling along with the music. I do however wish the Naan bread on the buffet was not cut into pieces but rather served whole to provide a fresher taste. I would also like to see mango juice served with the buffet as most places do. I am still not disappointed with the taste and quality of food here and will continue to frequently visit.
This place is great! During covid they are only open for dinner but do have takeout. I ordered the lamb samosas and goat biryani. The samosas were, and the goat biryani was insanely good! The goat sat at the bottom, still on the bones, covered in biryani rice. The goat meat was so tender that it just fell off the bone and was so flavorful! Service was a bit slow, but there were only two waitresses taking care of several tables as well as taking care of seating the customers coming in, so its no big deal. They were very friendly and service was otherwise great. Ive also ordered takeout and got the cheese stuffed Naan, stuffed potato paneer cakes, and the lamb sang. Oh my goodness, the Naan was fantastic, the potato paneer cakes were delicious, and the lamb sang was absolutely wonderful! Each item was packed with flavor, and i would 10/10 order them again!
Was my first time dining at Tandoor Indian Bistro. My friend took me out for some food and we decided on Tandoor. Arwa was an excellent server. We never had to ask her to top off our beverages. She checked on us frequently but never hovered. We had the crab cakes and samosas with chutney for an appetizer. We chose the Saag with goat and the Chicken Vindaloo (sp?) for our entrees. On the side we had some butter and garlic cheese naan. The food was fresh, hot and delicious. Will definitely be returning! πππ Also ordered some food to go since it was that delicious.
