We went to Taaj Chaat House on a weekday, and it was a great experience. The place is really spacious, and they even have a small party/private room. I think it's one of the best North Indian spots I've tried around here. Since the restaurant is pretty new, we didn't have any expectations, but it totally exceeded them. We ordered the Veg Kathi Roll, Paneer Kathi Roll, Paav Bhaaji, Cheese Pizza from the kids' menu, and Chana Puri. Everything tasted amazing. We'll definitely go back. This place is worth a try!
Tucked away in East Simi Valley, Taj Chaat House is a gem for quick Indian culinary excursions. It's not your usual Punjabi dhaba; imagine instead a delightful detour through an Indian food court, light and easy on the palate. The offerings here are pleasantly good, especially notable for their lightness and lack of greasiness, making each dish a guilt-free indulgence. And oh, the Ras Malai! It's a standout, capturing the essence of sweetness and softness in every bite – a creamy delight that promises a perfect end to your meal. With decent prices, spotless surroundings, and friendly service, plus hassle-free parking right next door, this place is a no-brainer for those seeking flavor without the fuss. The Ras Malai alone is worth the trip, making Taj Chaat House a must-visit for a quick, satisfying taste of India. I’m already planning my next visit for more of those quick, delicious bites – and, of course, another serving of their pretty good Ras Malai.
Delicious Indian snacks! Excellent service and great ambience and superb service. Jassi the owner and also Sony at the counter were very courteous and friendly and made recommendations. The Chanaa Bhatura, Dahi puri and Missi Roti Palak Saag were awesome. Got home made taste and not of typical restaurant taste. Will be visiting again soon. Highly recommend Taj Chaat House.
We had a great meal. Food was authentic and service was friendly. Ordered a couple curry dishes, rice, and naan. We also ordered spinach chaat on recommendation and it was our first time having it and we enjoyed it a lot. Portions were big, we came home with lots of leftovers. We actually prefer self service water and especially glad to see that it was filtered water.
I’ll start this off by saying I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and value of the food. Don’t get me wrong, there nothing wrong with the restaurants, far from it actually. It’s just that I’ve been around long enough to know the restaurant business is tough here in Simi. After my dining experience, I hope Taj Chaat House is here to stay for a (very) long time. The food: Veggie Kathi Roll Paneer Tikka Masala Channa Bhatura Garlic Naan Beverage: Mango Lassi Thumbs Up For 3 people, this was an absolute feast! Everything had an excellent flavor and the spice level was perfect (I have to often say Indian Spicy when I order takeout because it’s rather weak). If I was coming for a quick lunch, I’d get the Kathi Roll in a heartbeat- light, savory, guilt-free. The only points the whole meal losses is the naan which I don’t believe is made in a traditional tandoor. At $2.99, this is completely fine. All in all, this was an incredible value and wonderful meal. Be sure to stop by Taj Chaat House the next time you’re wondering, “what should we eat for dinner?”
Food was very delicious I wasn't had patient for take picture before I started. service was very good. fast food service I went first time here and I love it. I recommend to everyone come here feel like home made fresh food 😋
I discovered this establishment from being able to smell the wonderful aroma of exotic spices across the street. Upon dining in, the service was most excellent and the food superb. The aloo tiki was perfect in both crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, as was the flavourful samosa. Malai kofta with rice was the entree, and it was rich in flavour and stimulating the taste senses in a pleasurable way. A clean atmosphere with a bright and informative monitor displayed the menu, while another screen provided entertaining Bollywood music. The whole dining experience was fantastic and I thank both the owner and the three chefs present for their excellent service. As this establishment is still very new to the community, I wish them the best of success and prosperity in the business. They are also able to provide good catering services for all such needs. Many thanks once again and best wishes.
