Great South Indian joint. We had a large family gathering coming and this was the perfect breakfast of Idli, vada, upma with sambhar and chutney. The order was ready for my pickup absolutely fresh first thing in the morning. The food was flavorful and absolutely fantastic. I will definitely recommend it and come here again. Update: I recently stopped by here again for lunch and had a pleasant meal. We ordered the Masala Dosa, which was nicely crisp with a well‑seasoned potato filling. The Mysore Masala Dosa offered a gentle heat from its red chutney, complementing the dosa without overwhelming it. The Rava Cheese Plain Dosa was a subtle variation on the classic, with a light semolina texture and just enough melted cheese to add a bit of richness. To round out the meal, the Madras Coffee was smooth and slightly bold, a good pairing with the dosas. Service was polite and our food arrived in a reasonable amount of time. The dining area is clean and comfortable, making it a good choice for a straightforward South Indian meal. If you’re in the Parsippany area and looking for decent dosas and filter coffee, Ganesh’s is worth a try.
Food: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐This restaurant is 45 mins from my house and I don't mind driving an hour and half round trip to have their delicious food. I usually get Mysore Bhonda/Bhaji. They serve 8 bhondas with a small peanut/coconut chutney (you can ask for more) for 11$. Sambar is free to take on the side beside the commercial fridge. Sambar to buy is 8, 16, & 32oz displayed on the wall. Chai is delicious as well, condiments besides the sambar stand. Service: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had 0 bad service from these guys and I have been coming to them since 2018. Dosas, chais, & vadas are flying through the counters with speedy fast service. There's an old man at the counter involved in his phone, not sure if he is the one that people keep referring to in the reviews, but he was welcoming and directed menu when I was lost (testing them). Atmosphere: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ The only reason I give them 4 stars and not 5 is the lack of vision. The restaurant is absolutely huge with a massive kitchen. Then can do so many things to make it look so authentic and beautiful, however, it looks grim and dull. People come, eat, & go, however, it would be nice to have an aesthetic ambience to the restaurant. There's a beautiful Ganesh altar, but it's kept in the corner which no one can see. Sad that this restaurant is doing much with the ambience. Would love to see some renovations.
Ordered take out several times, the only place around which has andhra food that tastes like a yummy home cooked meal with right kinda spice and authentic taste. Been having the same satisfied experience every time over several years.
Pure vegetarian and fresh food served. Mostly 95% food is south Indian variety. Mostly unlimited fusion type fresh cooked food. Unlimited warm and fresh Samabar. Self service has impact on lowering the food price. Good for friends and family. Party packages available for bulk take out. Free parking. Good for family party and festival take outs. Near by in same lot Indian grocery store and other cousins are available. Fresh food is five stars.
I was quite new to this place and I found this place which has got different kinds of Dosa Options available. If you are Dosa Lover I think this has to be your go to stop to try.Coming to the quality it is commendable, as it gives an authentic flavor. The restaurant is well maintained and most importantly the orders were delivered within no time…I am looking forward to stop by and try other options as well.
Ordered take away rava dosa and myesore dosa + dahi vada and samosa chaat. Food was all excellent and the portions were generous. Additionally, the food was packed so nicely; all sambar and chutney were packed carefully and we truly enjoyed the food at home. Not sure why the rating was low on Google, they certainly deserve 5 stars.
We ordered the idli vada and dosa combo. Totally worth it. Two people can easily eat it. The best part is that the sambar is unlimited so you can keep enjoying the warm sambar. Idli was super soft n vada was fresh. The masala dosa was also really good. Tried the laddoo as well. It's good as well. Yes the interiors arent like the restaurant kind but it's a mess kind with good food.
