Amazing food taste for curries, South Indian food, biryani, and chat. This is close to authentic Indian taste with wide menu selections. The ambiance is inviting and with Indian songs and music. Wall art is appealing and humorous. However there's always a wait time but the food is worth the wait. The service is great and the staff is helpful. Will visit again soon.
Good quality food. Affordable. I liked the service. The overall vibe is great. If you want to try new tastes and indian food, you must try this place. We had masala dosa, it was crispy and fresh. So far one of the best places to have dosa, with reference to what I have tried.
It's quite a story as to how I ended up here. The brother of the owner of this restaurant hired me to draw a gas riser diagram for an identical restaurant in Virginia. His name is Ravi. Ravi discovered I was going to be here in Nashua today. I know my son likes Indian food so I decided we should try it. Everything we ordered was delicious! There are so many things on the menu. I can assure you I'll be back to try other things on the menu. The mango lassi was a special treat. Oh my, be sure you get one!
Even though this place is order-at-the-counter, the menu and prices is mostly like a typical sit down Indian restaurant. The place was busy and had a steady flow and short line of Indian customers the whole time we were there. We stepped out of the line a few times, being indecisive, but it moved really quickly each time we got in the back of the line. We got the onion samosas (not pictured), as the recommendation at the moment from the cashier because it was still hot and fresh. It was a serving of 6 and they immediately put it on a plate and gave it to us, so that helped with the concern of wanting something quick. The onions were caramelized and sauteed. The samosa casing was crispy, it was delicious. Despite their menu estimating food having a 25 minute wait time, we couldn't have been waiting for the rest of our food for more than 15 minutes. We got chicken tikka masala which came with rice, which wasn't just plain rice! I think it was Jeera rice, which has coriander leaves and cumin seeds. I know, Chicken Tikka Masala is not the most traditional dish, but it's our favorite! And theirs came medium spicy and thicker than most restaurants. It really reminded me of the first time I ever had Indian food, which was dinner at an Indian friend's house by her parents. I have been chasing that taste ever since! We also got garlic naan, which of course, was delicious. All of it was $30 total. So for two of us, it's $15 each and we have enough saved for lunch tomorrow! Definitely worth it and totally get the popularity. Will definitely return next time we're in the area.
Chowrastha - Indian Eatery offers an average dining experience overall. The menu has a variety of options, but the food itself lacked the bold flavors you’d typically expect from Indian cuisine. Some dishes were under-seasoned, and a few tasted like they had been sitting out for a while. The presentation was fine, but nothing special. Service was relatively quick, and the staff was polite, which helped improve the overall visit. The ambiance is casual and clean, but not particularly inviting. It’s okay for a quick meal, but if you’re looking for memorable Indian food, there are better options nearby.
Absolutely loved my experience here at Chowrastha! Excellent South Indian Food Stop in this area! The food was soothing with flavors, freshly prepared, and beautifully presented. Every dish we tried was delicious, especially bonda, punugulu, Dosa's and Biryani's are must try. Srinivas and his team were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. Definitely a must-visit if you're in the area! Highly recommended!
Many options of delicious food clearly displayed on screens over the counter. Busy place full of people on a Friday night so we had to wait about 10-15minutes to get a seat but were able to order soon after arriving. Ordered an onion dosa and it was over 18” wide!! They have multiple places in Texas and other states. Didn’t get any photos of the bathroom but it was clean!
