We had a good experience at the Ambar India Restaurant. The food was amazing! The best Indian food that I have had in the Midwest. My group tried lamb, chicken, and shrimp dishes. The sauces were all great. The garlic naan bread was delicious. I also tried the coconut soup. The service was great! The ladies took great care of our table. They were very polite and answered all of our questions. The only complaint that I have is the restrooms need remodeled. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and will definitely go back. It was a great recommendation from my wife and son who visited a month before me.
There were many tables available on a week night. Plenty of vegetarian options. Would highly recommend a spicy mushroom mater. Highish price for the quantity of food.
I've been dining at Ambar India since freshman year of college. That is admittedly over a decade ago 😂. In all that time, the food has been top notch and the service excellent. I have never had a complaint. I really enjoy bringing a date here in the evenings, but it is more of a third date kind of place. This is definitely the more classy Indian restaurant in the area.
Great Indian restaurant. Pricier than some Indian places but ballpark similar. Very nice array of choices. Standard fare to more traditional. Service was quick and polite. Not very busy when we went.
Delicious Indian food in Clifton with decent portion. Garlic naan is amazing. I tried the lamb and it is super tender and aromatic (no smelly lamb). Staffs are friendly. Free parking spot is also available.
Enjoyed it fully but I think I pissed the chef due to me sending my plate back 6 times wanting the spice level to be higher still wasn't spicy enough tell the chef I'll be back ..lol
Amazing Indian food!! One of the best Indian places you will ever find. They ask for your spice level for every dish which is nice customization. The food was so full of flavor and you could tell it wasn't just thrown together. High quality. The price is the only thing that I wasn't impressed with. Maybe that's normal for Indian restaurants in this area, but it was probably $2-$4 more per meal than most Indian restaurants I have been to. However, I would definitely come here again, just maybe not as often as if the price was a bit lower.
