This place opened up not too long ago and I hope It stays. The food is delicious. The staff is knowledgeable and very polite. The drinks are great too. They have small plates and plates to share. This is my second time here and both times I’ve gotten the large plates to share. There’s plenty to eat there and enough to take home for left overs! So good. I have eaten multiple dishes and have not once been disappointed. Come here and enjoy Indian cuisine. Support them so they stay in our neck of the woods! I also hear they have belly dancers on special days. So fun!
Wow! I’m so happy I tried Fitoor the food was excellen, the ambience beautiful and the service friendly. I visited on a weekend a tried a little from both their brunch menu and the main menu and It was all great. They have these paneer tostadas on the brunch menu that I’m obsessed with- Packed with so much flavor and textures. When I come back it will most likely be on a weekend for more of those tostadas and the warm & flaky puffs From the main menu my favorite had to be the tandoori curry leaf prawns they were bursting with flavor and just the perfect amount of heat that awakened the tastebuds but didn’t linger for too long. There were more great dishes like the Kulchas. But I don’t want to spoil it for you get in there and try this place out sooner than later and save room for dessert dessert because the crème brûlée is very special the way they make it. Not overly sweet and plated beautifully. Can’t wait to visit again soon!
Favorite Date Night Place. I visited Fitoor in Santa Monica on Valentine’s Day to celebrate a special occasion, and it was an unforgettable experience! The staff was incredibly friendly and made us feel so welcomed. To top it off, they surprised us with complimentary desserts to mark the occasion. The food was absolutely delicious! Highly recommend for any special event!
Chef Surya has really made such beautiful dishes! We got to see him tonight working, and he really puts so much love and passion into his food. Everything was delicious. I can't recommend the gulab jamub creme brulee enough!! Just try it!! We loved the paneer dishes as well. We're definitely coming back for more!
Santa Monica's newest fine dining Indian restaurant did not disappoint. Fitoor is an original San Jose restaurant that made its way down to LA. The ambiance is modern & fine dining. We parked at a lot near the restaurant next door Sol Agave, but there's also street parking. You enter through a giant blue door (it's heavy so upper body strength needed) We ordered: DAHI KACHORI (So delicious! And a fun experience to break the poori & solid combination of mixed seasonings over a bed of okra fries) AVACADO BURRATA CHEESE CHAAT (this was a favorite, the creamy avocado, savory cheese & crunchy sev was a burst of flavor & texture) PURPLE POTATO RAGDA PATTY (layers of potato with a cranberry mousse, sweet & savory- also a good starter) TANDOORI CURRY LEAF PRAWNS (the marinade was impressive, spicy with layers of flavor, for an ethnic palate it's more flavor than hot spice) TRUFFLE MUSHROOM KULCHA (great fusion dish, hard to go wrong with fresh bread, mushrooms & truffle) but very far from a traditional kulcha REINVENTED PANEER LABABDAAR (a chunk of cheese in the center of curry, great to dip with our garlic naan) DOUBLE BUTTER DAAL MAKHANI (you judge an Indian restaurant based off their daal, & the daal makhani here slaps) HYDERABADI CHICKEN DUM BIRYANI (aromatic, perfectly cooked rice, well seasoned) LAMB SHANK ROGAN JOSH (per my friend's lamb was cooked well & complimented by the yogurt marinated onions) OPEN FIRE CHICKEN KEBAB (also well Seasoned, chicken was tender) Both Cocktails were good. We got Sakura (guava / brandy ) & Polynesian breeze (rum/ pineapple) Lastly for dessert we did: GULAB JAMUN CRÈME BRULÉE (this is light & airy with a fire presentation, unique fusion) CHOCOLATE NEMISIS (chocolate mousse cake) Both paired with their Masala Chai & a coffee. They each come in a cute tea pot & tea cups. Overall the ambiance, the food, & service exceeded expectations. Happy to welcome this new Indian restaurant to Santa Monica. Cheers!
**Review for Fitoor in Santa Monica** ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I have never written a restaurant review before, but I couldn't resist sharing my experience at the amazing new restaurant, Fitoor, in Santa Monica. From the delightful ambience to the perfectly curated menu, this place truly stole my heart! As a vegetarian, I often find myself on the lookout for creative and delicious dishes, and Fitoor exceeded my expectations. They have redefined comfort food with a wonderful twist. We ordered five dishes during our visit, but I got so carried away with the biryani that I forgot to take a picture of it! Here’s what we enjoyed: 1. **Silken Yogurt Kebab:** These were a revelation! Melting in my mouth, they were essentially Dahi ke Kebabs turned up a notch—absolutely on point. 2. **Purple Potato Ragda Patty:** This dish was a fantastic twist on a classic street food favorite. The creativity in transforming something so familiar into a refined plate was impressive. 3. **Mushroom Minced Kebab:** A vegetarian version of the Galouti Kebab. The blend of spices was exquisite, making it one of the best dishes of the night. 4. **Gulab Jamun Creme Brulee:** This dish was a fusion masterpiece! The best Gulab Jamun I’ve ever tasted. I could have easily gone back for seconds. The staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive, adding to the overall enjoyable experience. If you find yourself in Santa Monica, I highly recommend visiting Fitoor. You won’t be disappointed!
We had heard a lot of great things about this place and we couldn’t have been happier with the food. I everything tasted delicious and the service was excellent! Would love to go back to try other dishes.
