I think it's a combination of two restaurant chains. I ordered a personal-sized tandoori naan pizza with lamb, and so far, I'm enjoying it.
We enjoyed a quick dinner at Tikka Shack while spending some time in Mechanicsburg. The interior of the restaurant is trendy and comfortable with lively popular music playing. We had a Spinach Masala with Paneer, Chicken Tikka Masala, and a Chicken Curry. All had just the right spice and were the proper portion size for quick service and no leftovers. The peanut butter and chocolate cake tasted off, like maybe it sat too long and developed a stale taste, but we didn't stop for cake, so I was not extremely disappointed and that was the only negative. If you want quick indian food, this is a great stop.
I've visited here several times. ALWAYS fresh. Everyone is VERY nice. You can choose mild, spicy, or hot for any dish. Even if they look not busy, there's alot of Take Out delivered. If they seem busy, that's not rude. (Some 1 star reviews are very 'suspect'. I strongly believe these are fake, and originate from a competing restaurant nearby)
This was my first introduction to indian food. Their staff greeted me kindly and were willing to educate me to better understand the options available. I chose a spicy chicken kabob with rice and a fantastic mango salad. Thank you π
This is an incredible place as Iβve always wondered if there were any good Indian fast food joints since most Indian restaurants tend to be fine dining which is great, but sometimes I just need a quick bite. Tikka Shack is that bite. Itβs affordable without losing the charm and spice of those fine dining Indian restaurants. The restaurant itself is extremely clean and the staff are very friendly. My ONLY problem with this place is that I think it deserves a better market. This has a potential to be Chipotle or Subway big, but they need to expand to bigger and better markets maybe starting with Baltimore, Philly, or DC.
Itβs a good thing I donβt live near here- we would be here all the time! This food was so savory; we had ordered ahead not knowing if we could dine- in and we could. The atmosphere was clean and bright and the food was out of this world. If we lived too close youβd be rolling me out the door and Iβd gain a lot of weight I suspect! The restrooms were clean and it was comfortable and warm on a cold day inside- pleasant staff-I will be looking for an excuse to come back whenever my kids play ball in Mechanicsburg-Yum is about it! What a wonderful treat.
I recently had the pleasure of ordering from Tikka Shack Indian Grub during a business trip to Mechanicsburg, PA. Craving the rich flavors of Indian cuisine, I turned to Tikka Shack based on its positive reviews, and I'm glad I did, even though I didn't have my car and had to order through Grubhub. My order consisted of the Street Style Chaat, Ras Malai, Spinach Masala, and Kabob Bowl. From the moment the food arrived, I was impressed with the portion sizes, which were exactly what I had anticipated. The Samosa Chat was a delightful start to my meal. The crispy samosas combined with various toppings created a medley of textures and flavors that were satisfying. However, I would rate it an 8 out of 10 due to the slight absence of sauce, which I believe could have elevated the dish even further. The Ras Malai, a dessert I hold dear to my heart, was an absolute winner. I would confidently rate it a perfect 10 out of 10. The dessert was exquisitely prepared, with the soft and creamy Ras Malai soaked in sweetened milk. It provided a perfect ending to the meal. The Spinach Masala was a burst of flavors. The spinach was cooked to perfection, and the paneer cubes were fresh and tender. The dish offered a harmonious blend of spices that pleased my taste buds. One of the highlights of my order was the Kabob Bowl. The chicken was incredibly juicy and tender, and the flavors were well-balanced. It showcased the culinary expertise of the kitchen and left me highly satisfied. While most of the dishes were exceptional, I found the mango salad to be too sweet for my taste. This personal preference aside, the rest of the meal compensated for it. On the whole, my experience at Tikka Shack Indian Grub was impressive. The flavors transported me to India, and the quality of the food was evident in every bite. However, I couldn't help but notice that the prices were comparatively higher than similar establishments in cities like Chicago. In conclusion, Tikka Shack Indian Grub in Mechanicsburg, PA, is undoubtedly a great place to savor authentic Indian flavors. The Ras Malai, Spinach Masala, and Kabob Bowl were highlights of my meal, and even though the mango salad missed the mark for me, it didn't overshadow the overall experience. While the prices might be on the higher side, the quality of the food justifies it. If you're in the area and craving Indian cuisine, Tikka Shack is a solid choice.
