I usually default to chicken tikka masala or a curry, but I wanted to try something new. The gentleman who served us (maybe the owner?) recommended the Chicken Shahi Korma and it was so delicious! My husband thoroughly enjoyed the Shrimp Biryani. We also ordered Mixed Vegetables and garlic naan to share. Both very good. Oh, we ordered the Hut Special Bread (now referred to as “crack bread” bc it’s so good😆). We got it as an appetizer and I 100% recommend it. We have leftovers for tomorrow so… win.
This place is one of my absolute favorite places to eat! I have been able to dine here and on a few occasions, carry out, since the change over a few years ago. Joe and his family are inviting and really make you feel like you are welcome. I look forward to the food and the atmosphere. Whatever you do don’t sleep on India Hut!
An overall really good experience. One of the better Indian restaurants in the city currently. The new owner is really dedicated to their craft. You can tell it means a lot to them to have quality ingredients going into their meals.
A friend and I had dinner here on a Wednesday night, and everything was delicious. The Chicken Vindaloo was perfectly cooked, and the spice level (medium) was perfect. The Hut Special Bread was my favorite — packed with all kinds of savory goodness and amazingly priced. We’ll definitely be back!
India Hut is THE BEST Indian food in Indianapolis — period! My partner and I are big fans of Indian food and have tried many of the spots in this city and this quaint spot in Broad Ripple is hands down the best. It’s a family- owned and cared for establishment that really cares about delivering fresh, quality meals to the table every time. We literally come here AT MINIMUM twice a month and it never disappoints, and we always look forward to it. Do yourself a favor and pop in! Naan is always fluffy, chicken tikka masala is to die for, and truly everything is so great!
So, so good!! This is the best Indian food we have had in a long time. We both got the chicken tikka masala in medium spice along with garlic and plain naan. We wished we had more room in our tummies to eat more because it was delicious!!
Although it was empty while eating there, they stayed attentive, it was very clean, and they were very welcoming. The shrimp biryani was SUPER good, so was the butter chicken. Overall a great experience. Enough for two people to share and still take home.
