Popular! Get there early. Even with 2 waitstaff doing all front of house work, the service was great and the food was so good. We smelled it from down the block and couldn't go anywhere else.

We went to India Palace with another couple that had previously been and we had such a great time! There were so many recommendations of delicious food that we will have to come back again and we were so impressed with all of the options that we got. Our favorite across the board was the chicken kashmir and the flavor was out of this world. Chicken curry, chicken tikka masala, and saag paneer were all very good too. Medium was a good level of spice for most of us, and I would be curious to try hot in the future. The most fun part about this experience was all of the sauces, chutneys, and experiments that were done between sharing all of our meals, such a fun thing and seemingly unique to Indian culture. Our server was incredibly friendly and helpful to all of our questions as newbies. Will be excited to go back again and I would love to try the lunch buffet

I love this place. It kind of feels like a hole in the wall, you walk in and get greeted by somebody behind a podium, they smile and lead you into a tiny little quiet dining room that looks like it hasn't been remodeled in 50 years, you order, they plate you with a meal that explodes off the taste buds with that Middle Eastern cuisine type palette, and you want to come back the next day.

Since this is pretty much the only Indian restaurant north of Minneapolis in Minnesota, I'm going to go a little easy on these folks. Service is stellar. Waiters checked on us regularly - incredibly cheerful staff too - food came out pretty quick as well. Atmosphere has a 1980/90s feel which isn't a bad thing. There's plenty of street parking outside and this place is in a really good location. Food... it leaves a lot to be desired. Its... meh. Platter items and flatbreads were dry and despite getting the highest spice level, the gravies were just mild. This place has potential.

Everyone is friendly that works there, fast service and the food is all homemade and delicious. Very clean and welcoming as well. I recommend for all people interested in trying Indian cuisine or who already love it!

I moved to Duluth because I love the city, the area, and the people. My one major apprehension was the lack of cultural diversity and therefore culinary diversity. It is true that Duluth does not have much to offer in terms of flavorful, exotic food but I was thrilled that Duluth has an Indian restaurant. I'm here to tell you now that India Palace is not just some consolation prize that placates a passing desire for South Asian fare. Despite being the only Indian restaurant in Duluth and having effectively zero competition, they are truly a wonderful establishment that do their utmost to serve consistently delicious and wide-ranging Indian dishes. They are my go-to comfort food and I love them dearly. I especially recommend the chicken kashmiri, the lamb vindaloo, and the vegetable biryani. Tip: They'll give you legitimately spicy food, you just have to ask for it. I sometimes find that "hot" isn't hot enough but "very hot" is good.

Good price and good food. The lunch buffet was an even split between vegetarian and meat dishes. I try to eat at Indian buffets as much as possible in my travels, this was one of the better ones. Be advised that the street it is on is under construction, but there is plenty of parking within a block. I was told the construction will continue for 14 months.
