Great experience eating lunch here. Everyone on staff operated with high degree of attentiveness to quality. The food was very good, with high-quality ingredients and focus on richer spices over just dousing everything in cream. Appreciated how many vegetarian dishes were available, and how fully plant-based items were designated as such. The restaurant itself was extremely clean, with a practical setup. It can't be the easiest place in the world to run an Indian restaurant but well done to the owners. Will look forward to returning when in N. Michigan.
My daughter and I had never had authentic Indian cuisine and Aamchi didn't disappoint. Fresh ingredients and delicious food. The staff are lovely. We always prefer to eat local when traveling. This was perfect. Lots of gluten free choices and vegan choices. I will visit again.
This place is legit. Had the mixed Grill and naan- both excellent
Friendly welcome. Pretty quick to take order and bring out food. Excellent garlic naan, we did 2 orders because typically it’s so small but I think 1 order would have been plenty (as it should be). The spicy tikka - good lemony flavor that I enjoyed but.. Ordered medium per heat scale presented while ordering: but unfortunately had little to no spice. Perhaps that’s to accommodate for this area’s typical customer preference? But I did want proper Indian medium (5-7 on 1-10 scale) and wish places would ask for Indian or Caucasian heat preference. Tikka Masala was much better in the spicy scale, creamy with a medium viscosity. Reminiscent of proper Indian masala for sure. This is likely the best you’ll find around this area. Will return.
We moved here about a year ago out of state from the city after 15 years of living metropolitan. It's been a shock, but a positive over all; Except in the case of variety. You just get used to having diversity on your plate in the city, but out here the trade off is that no business can survive by being sub-par. Aamchi Mumbai is no exception. It was -fabulous-. The hour drive home was torture with how good it smelled, but it was worth it. Dare I even say it was better than any of our favorite places back in the city. Not just the quality and the flavor, but the v a r i e t y. I've never gotten so much food and liked all of it. The Muligatawni soup and Gobi Manchurian were particular hits. The aloo naan had the tastiest kick to it. The Mango Lassi was complex and rich. We're not even vegetarians. Nothing I brought home went uneaten. Except maybe the monstrous pan of rice they so kindly gave us. The leftovers will make for some lovely curry omelets. We will definitely be coming back.
Fantastic, very authentic Indian food. The service is always friendly as well. I can't say enough good things about this resteraunt!
no matter how many different indian food restaurants i try, this remains one of my favorites. so good.
