Bawarchi is our absolute favorite Indian place in the Birmingham area. Dine-in service is usually pretty quick. Not all that much seating (though booths are spacious), but we've never had a wait. Pickup orders can take 30-40 minutes to be ready. This time around, we ordered kadai chicken, egg tikka masala, plain naan, and a mango lassi. Curries come with rice, and are enough for two meals if eating sensibly (which we often struggle to do here). The kadai is a huge favorite, as is their tikka masala (the egg variant was slightly overcooked, but the chicken is always excellent). Naan are fluffy, and mango lassis are some of the best we had and taste like fresh mangos are used. From other times, we know their biryanis, particularly hyderabadi chicken, are delicious. Can't recommend this place highly enough.
First time here but long time Indian Food lover. The menu is extensive but not overwhelming at all. The atmosphere of the restaurant is great and the staff is very attentive and super friendly. I decided on the Chicken Tikka Biryani and it couldn't have been better. The Chicken was so tender and juicy and very well marinated. The flavor was amazing and the portion was huge. However, what stole the show was the yogurt sauce that came on the side. The biryani is amazing on it's own, but add the yogurt sauce, and it just hits something different and delicious. It also helps with the spice level too if you are as wimpy as myself. :D I was able to take the rest with me and have an amazing lunch the next day. I also got the Garlic Naan and honestly, it was hands down the best naan I've had. Having the naan with the biryani was a phenomenal combination. Now, my bestie that was with me ended up having the Boneless Chicken Biryani and it was just as juicy and delicious. Lastly, I couldn't pass up a chance to try their bread pudding known as Double Ka Meetha and I wish they sold it in larger sizes because it is just way too good. It was a perfect ending to an amazing meal. I am already planning another trip to try more things and I can't wait.
Absolutely fantastic Indian food! Served a decent sized gathering of hungry aviation mechanics, and the owner was very attentive, ensuring we enjoyed our meals, and ensured we received more Naan (of course, always need more Naan!). Such a great place with a vibrant energy, and it's obvious this is the passion of the owner, and her energy was infectious! If ever near this area, DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED - MUST TRY! It's rare to find down to earth owners in their businesses so close to closing time, with a joyful energy and happy to serve a large group of mechanics! This place definitely felt like a home cooked delicacy.
I had the best experience having their food. they start serving live chat in which we tasted panipuri, sev puri and dhahi puri which is very impressive. We had that swadh of Indian street food after a long. It is truly amazing in taste. I definitely recommend those items.
We had a lot of 1st timers with us and ordered a array of things to share, the veg Samosos, mixed pakora, chili paneer to start with and didn't regret it, all the yummy sauces and flavors. The chicken tikka masala is my go to with garlic Naan bread, but I tried friends and loved everything so much. Great service, food, prices and cleanliness! Can't wait to go back, we drive a hour for this amazing food!
Great vegan and dairy free options. I had the Chana Masala with rice and Tandoori Roti. IT WAS DELICIOUS. The staff was nice and friendly.
Love all the foods. Chicken pepper fry is my favorite dish. I normally order through Uber eats or DoorDash but I go to the restaurant from time to time.
