Barry's Bistro Bar & Grill South Padre Island

On the Border Mexican Grill was a standout during our trip, easily coming in as our second favorite meal! 🌮 It’s super convenient, located right next to where we stayed, which made it an easy and delicious choice. The service? Fantastic! Our server was on top of his game, attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was just right. Honestly, I’m not sure why others have rated their service so low—our experience was nothing short of excellent. If you love Mexican food, this spot is a must-try. I had the Gran Papi and it was absolutely dedeelish—flavorful, fresh, and filling! 😋 The rest of my group was just as impressed with their dishes, all agreeing the food was excellent. Don’t let any mixed reviews fool you, this place is worth checking out! I only gave three stars for atmosphere because the construction was so loud while we ate.

The food is so delicious!!! The drinks were all on point and the service was awesome! Ask for Lyanna she is awesome and great customer service and knew exactly what I wanted!!

Wow, this place rocks!! We came for dinner, and we were treated yo some very tasty food. The birria tacos were outstanding and highly we recommend. Our waitress was very polite. On the last day of our stay, we ordered burritos to go so we could eat while driving. Carlos was very helpful with our accommodations and did a really great job. Those burritos were amazing. We couldn't drive, we ate in the car. The red sauce was delicious. Thanks to the staff for making this experience memorable.

A very nice lunch! Had the veggie quesadilla with side salad and I was very pleased with the quality of both. I also had sides of refried beans and rice - a bargain at only $1.59 each. The service was fast and friendly and the waitress took the time to make sure she had the order right. Happy hour beers and margaritas from 3pm to 5pm was a bonus. A very clean and spacious dining area with plenty of tables and seating. Nice outdoor seating too. The restrooms which are part of the hotel lobby were extremely clean. The restaurant is located right on the ground floor and to the left of the main hotel doors, so it’s easy to find. I parked in the hotel lot right in front and found a space easily, although I must admit it was not high-season.

This was the first place we stopped to eat when we made it to Padre Island. The food was so good! Everything was well priced. My daughter tried her first corn dog here and she ate every bite! She's 4 years old so this is a big deal! My mom and I ordered birria tacos. This was my mom's first time trying birria and this place did not disappoint. Great staff, clean restaurant. I can't ask for more. Definitely coming back next time we visit down South ❤️

This is absolutely best place in town to eat quality food. It is reasonably priced. Staff is great. Employees are very friendly and hard working. Most of staff appear to be in school and learning great in service industry. Chips and salsa are great way to start your food. Highly recommend. We are vegetarian however they made all changes to serve us. Great 😊
