I WOULD LIKE TO SAY TO THE MANAGER DREAD YOU ARE AWESOME ❤️Let me start out saying I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!! Gwen is so sweet and awesome❤️I will be requesting her when I go back. TO THE CHEF'S YOU ARE ONE OF A KIND AND THANK YOU FOR A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE ❤️The food is so FREAKING GOOD!!!! OH MY GOD when I started eating I had tears in my eyes. It is AMAZING. First time I had Clay Pit food I ordered through Too Good To Go. I went back in 3 days and ordered the Cucumber Salad and Tandoori Broccoli. I will be back to try something else on the menu. ALL THE STAFF IS WONDERFUL❤️
Best Indian food I have found in Austin! The dishes are so flavorful with good variety. The restaurant has a nice vibe on the inside and you simply have to get the Naan when you come. Even if you don't think you like Indian food, you have to come try Clay Pit!
Absolutely incredible food and an overall fantastic experience! Everything on the menu was delicious, but if I had to pick favorites, the goat curry and the cauliflower appetizer were outstanding. Highly recommend!
Loved it! Everything tasted great. I will say if hungry you need to order exactly what you want, the quantities are small. We loved what we ate! Small portions is my only complaint. Great customer service, great atmosphere, specialty cocktails are amazing.
Clay Pit Restaurant in Austin is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Indian cuisine! The food was absolutely great, and the ambiance was perfect - a lovely setting to enjoy a meal. The naan breads were delicious, fresh out of the clay oven. The paneer dishes were standouts, with the palak paneer being a highlight - the paneer was incredibly fresh and soft. All the items I tried were savory and had just the right level of spice. The chaat items were particularly authentic and delicious - the dahi papdi chaat was a favorite, with its perfect balance of flavors. Other highlights included the chana masala, dal, pakodas etc, overall, the flavors were spot on. If you're looking for a great Indian restaurant in Austin, Clay Pit is definitely worth a visit!
I recently visited the restaurant with my uncle and had an excellent dining experience. For appetizers, we ordered the Dahi Puri and Tandoori Broccoli, both of which were absolutely amazing and flavorful. For the main course, we enjoyed the Kothmir Salmon and Portobello Matar Paneer, paired with Palak Paneer Naan—everything was perfectly cooked and delicious. To complement the meal, I had a non-alcoholic liquor, which was refreshing and unique. Overall, the food was fantastic, and the dining experience was memorable!
This restaurant is housed in a preserved building and has a unique ambience to offer apart from super delicious food. Service was prompt and warm.
