Charming and cozy restaurant. Tucked in a convenient spot in Downtown Dallas. Spice level was excellent! Great food. Perfect Samosa, seriously perfect. Great atmosphere. Dal Makhani was good. Veg Biriyani was amazing. Service from Leela was so kind and gracious and attentive!!!! Awesome job making this customer feel right at home.
It has been a while that I sat in an Indian restaurant and said wow with my first bite. I guess it’s mainly because after eating Indian food for years over four continents there isn’t a lot that surprises me with Indian cuisine. secondly, I wasn’t expecting this experience to be in Dallas of all the places but it just happens to be that I came to Dallas with a true Indian food lover who introduced me to this wonderful place called Namak. Then I had chicken fried rice at a lot of places, including the Chinese restaurants that this dish actually belongs to but these guys did an amazing job at the Indian Chinese fusion, as they say in America they hit it out of the park. The Tandoori paneer Tikka was soft and made nicely. The medium spicy Paneer Chilli was hot and delicious but the star of the night for me was chicken fried rice with an Indian kick. Second night a delicious glass for mango lassi accompanied by chicken Manchurian, chicken, curry and Chana Bhatura made my night. I must also mention the wonderful, very attentive, very supportive and professional customer service here, for the first two nights we had the pleasure of Mr Patel serving us who not only provided service with the smile but guided us through the amazing menu with wonderful suggestions. The last (third night) we had the pleasure of having Ms Krithi as our server who not only knew what we had enjoyed (more like loved) the first two nights she also guided us (group of 7, 8 if you include my imaginary writer on my back) to additional new selections such as Palak Paneer, chicken qorma and grill mix which all where nothing short of amazing. Mind you nobody comes to Dallas for their Indian food, It’s steaks all around but next time I’m coming to Dallas I am going straight to Namak.
We decided to go here after reading all the reviews, for 2pm on Saturday it was pretty busy. We ordered paneer chilli, papdi chaat, Manchow soup for appetizers, Paneer butter masala & Paneer Kadhai for veg entree. Naans were fresh & soft. Mango lassi was yummy too. It didn’t disappoint. FYI - they do ask at the end to scan QR & leave a review.
The food was great and the service matched! I ordered the paneer tikka masala and it was so flavorful. I’m very particular about garlic naan and theirs is amazing!! Also had the We Love Namak cocktail, and I didn’t know it was blended, as I I would have rather had it on the rocks but it wasn’t too bad. Overall, great experience and I’ll definitely be back!
Had an amazing experience at Namak Indian Restaurant & Bar! Kirti gave absolutely outstanding service — so friendly, attentive, and made me feel right at home. The Chicken Fried Rice was incredible, packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. Can’t wait to come back!
We had an absolutely fantastic dining experience at Namak Indian Cuisine! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm atmosphere that set the tone for a delightful evening. My husband ordered the lamb curry, which was rich, flavorful, and incredibly tender—definitely a standout dish. I opted for the chicken tikka masala, and it was one of the best I’ve ever had! The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the chicken was cooked to perfection. As a couple that loves Indian food and often makes tikka masala at home, we were genuinely impressed! To top off our meal, we shared the kheer for dessert. It was the perfect sweet ending that left us both smiling. We also enjoyed the berry Moscow mule, which we requested as a modification to their regular Moscow mule. They were able to make it perfectly—refreshing and just the right amount of fruity! Our server, Ram, was incredibly kind and attentive. He made sure our drinks and orders were just right, adding to the overall pleasant experience. His recommendations were spot on, and his friendly demeanor made us feel truly valued as guests. We absolutely love Indian cuisine, and Namak has quickly become our go-to spot. We can’t wait to return and explore more of their delicious menu. Highly recommend to anyone looking for authentic and amazing Indian food!
Kirti was an excellent server and she represents one of many friendly staff. The cuisine was flavorful and spiced to perfection. I highly recommend. I included pictures of the restaurant. I would include pictures of meal, but it was so delicious and smelled amazing. So, I ate it all.
