I recently visited this restaurant for dinner, and the atmosphere was perfect for a relaxing meal. I would highly recommend dining in rather than ordering takeout, as the experience is much more enjoyable in person. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and there was always someone available to assist without having to search for help. The food was fantastic, especially the vegetable korma with garlic, which was the highlight of the meal. The mutton rogan josh was juicy and cooked to perfection, and the rice was full of flavor. They offered a wide variety of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, catering to all preferences. For dessert, I enjoyed the mango lassi, though they also had ice cream and gulab jamun available. By the end of the meal, I had the chance to chat with the owner, who was an incredibly kind and approachable person. He mentioned that the restaurant is available for booking events like kitty parties and birthday celebrations, which adds a nice personal touch to the dining experience. I recommend people to dine in. Come back to old days

Been coming here for decades. One of the best North Indian punjabi restaurants in New Jersey. They have a long history and a loyal following. You can’t go wrong with anything you order. Highly recommended for a comforting meal out in a quiet atmosphere. Lots of trinkets to look at too!

My son and I came in earlier this evening around 5:30PM and as soon as we walked through the door I was pleasantly greeted with a beautiful smell of incense and the beauty of the establishment. The atmosphere is very peaceful and tranquil to the senses, it is both visually-therapeutic and aroma-therapeutic to a weary soul like mine (I'm a 24/7 caregiver for my mom, so at times I'm quite drained and need an escape to experience beauty such as The Star of India). I could sit for hours and be so calm at peace and happy. The food is exquisitely made and delightfully delicious, and we got a lot to take back home to the family! Everyone back at home was feeling great after eating! The lady and man were wonderfully kind and extremely professional. I would give a billion star rating if Google allowed me to do so! I WILL return to The Star of India again in the near future, I absolutely love it there! Thank you again for your beautiful service today. I appreciate you very much. Gigi ❤️
