Nalan Indian Cuisine

I am from Michigan, visited the restaurant when I was in Harrisburg for my class, glad that I found this restaurant. Really awesome food, good cafe kind of ambiance, their dosa definitely tasted different and better - both kal dosa and masala dosa, not exaggerating honestly, loved the food. Didn't have the aftereffects (heartburn) of eating at an Indian restaurant. The taste felt like homemade, the filter coffee was good, masala dosa was crispy but not dry, their Kerala parotta was freshly made, not frozen. Was impressed by their infused water, felt a bit special. Took biriyanis, for the road. I am going to make this my go to restaurant for my future classes. A little bit expensive but worth it once a month. Wish their website was a bit updated. 🤍 Overall my experience exceeded my expectations.

Our waiter Sagar made us feel at home, answered our questions, and the food is wonderful. The right amount of portions, the flavors are terrific. Try new things, everything was so good!!

Absolutely fantastic food, the flavors hit, the spice was there this restaurant hit all the right profiles. It is definitely a gem I'll be back next year when I'm in town for the big car show again. The service was really good as well. I highly recommend this restaurant and the chicken 65.

Nalan Restaurant is hands down the best Indian cuisine you’ll find anywhere in Mechanicsburg and Harrisburg. The food is consistently outstanding, making it the top choice for authentic Indian flavors in the area. If you’re craving delicious Indian food, Nalan is simply the best of the best.

We drove 45 minutes for this mouth watering adventure. As soon as you park in the parking lot the smells hit you like in the cartoons. Let's start: The Naan, perfectly layered with garlic and butter, melts in your mouth. We ordered some to go home with as well. We ordered the buttery chicken and Lamb Kerala coconut lamb. I stopped eating and started to type this review. I kid you not after the first bite I turned into A Google food critic and had to tell the masses without any seconds to waste. The lamb was perfect. The big bold flavors were amazing. Upon completion, I had a delicious cup of coffee. We asked if they can do a party of 8, and started plotting out our next adventure here bringing some friends.

Great place for South Indian food in this place and seems to be the only place… came here specifically for the dosas and it turned out to be excellent! With a filter coffee, it turned out be a real good one!!! Though couldn’t try other items, I bet they should be good as they looked good!!! Highly recommended

Nalan is indeed the best , I repeat , the best Indian restaurant in the greater Harrisburg area. I eat out a lot and I am saying that with responsibilities. I have been there many times and their food never disappointed me. I would recommend Goat Pepper fry with Paratha. This is the best among all the items they offer, in my opinion. Last time we went there we had chicken tandoor, fried rice and goat pepper fry with paratha. I also liked their fried rice a lot. Chicken tandoor came with two quarter legs. They cooked it very good. We thought we would take one of the legs as a take out. But ended up eating there, because it was that good. The atmosphere there is fine. Though I believe their seating capacity needs to be increased. It is a small restaurant with limited seating capacity. During weekends the crowd is more. The staffs are super cool. They are friendly and take care of the customers very well. They are fast in providing service as well. Therefore, I didn’t find anything that would take my rating down from 5. In all aspects they deserve a 5, from what I experienced so far.
