I’ve been going to sarvana Bhawan all my life first in Delhi and now recently tried this location, same taste. Nothing to complain if you’re looking for the OG tiffin food do try this place. The sambar is the same. Felt so good.
Drove an hour to try the food, had Medu Vada (savory donuts), Poori with potatoes, and famous Masala Dosa, and Chai , everything was delicious, reasonably priced, and the place is clean , food came out quick! There is a window where you can see the chef making you food.
Went there on Saturday evening. Very quick service and good dosas. Tried podi dosa and it was as described, a little spicy. I enjoyed their chutney and sambar too. There is a 5% discount for cash. The most surprising part was .50 charge on water, it's not huge but uncommon compared to other restaurants. It's all vegetarian restaurant and there is a lot more than dosas on the menu.
Loved the dosas and filter coffee in this place. Also loved the chili paneer ! It was really amazing. Best thing that we ate ! The service staff is excellent. The restrooms could have been cleaner though.
This evening time at around 18:00 hrs I had the opportunity of visiting this restaurant (06/28). We did try their combos1,2 and 3. All had sweet and idly in common. Combo 1 had Masala dosa, combo 2 had upma and combo 3 had Ghee Pongal. Given an option to rate the combos i would give Combo 3 as rank 1. Of the dishes available in the above combos the sweet kesari was exceptional. It was served hot with apt amount of sugar melting ghee and dry grapes.Next in the rank is the hot Medu Vada and then comes their Ghee Pongal. Masala dosa and rava upma are ranked below the above three. We finished our dining with their hot steaming Madras coffee. As a take away we tried their cold mango lassi which was outstanding. Overall we enjoyed the evening with their tasty food. Will visit again, if I have the opportunity.
Great food and lots of choices. We had thalis, and combos for lunch and the quantity of food was generous, and tasted great. Among everything we ordered our favorites were dosa which came with the combo, and spicy buttermilk. Expect a wait at busy times, or be okay to sit outside for shorter wait. Service was good and pretty fast.
We ordered their combo. They have very decent combo option of 1 idli, 1 vada, 1 scoop pongal and 1 scoop kesari bath. It’s very tasty, worth the money. Surprisingly they provided lot of sambar and chutney. Even onion uttapam was delicious and authentic South Indian taste. But to-dine in its very small place.
