We visited Persis Biryani Indian Grill for lunch, and everything we ordered was superbly delicious and mouthwatering. We tried the chicken rice biryani, boneless chicken rice biryani, and goat biryani, along with a couple of meat appetizers. Each dish was packed with flavor, and the spices were just right—rich, aromatic, and satisfying. The only downside was that we arrived around 2:45 PM, and the kitchen was closed, reopening at 6:00 PM. That was a bit of a disappointment, but Guru, who provided exceptional service, made sure we were comfortable and taken care of. He ensured that we were enjoying our meals and gave us great recommendations. We couldn’t wait to return when the kitchen was open and explore more of their mouthwatering entrees. A few days later, we came back for dinner (I forgot to take pictures of our meals) and had a much wider selection to choose from. We ordered a variety of dishes and were completely happy and satisfied with everything. The food was just as flavorful and fresh as before. I highly recommend Persis Biryani Indian Grill—it’s definitely worth the visit! Bonus: ♿️ Accessibility is no issue here as it’s located on the ground floor, making it easy for everyone to enjoy. This restaurant offers an awesome atmosphere paired with amazing food, making it a top choice for vegetarian Indian cuisine. Their Hyderabadi dum biryani, grilled paneer, and tandoori vegetables are packed with authentic flavors, while the Baby Corn Manchurian, Gobi Manchurian, and Chilli Paneer appetizers are simply mouth-watering. The lunch tiffin provides a perfect balance of delicious vegetarian dishes for a quick yet satisfying meal. With the authentic spice levels and vibrant ambiance, I highly recommend this place for an exceptional dining experience.
Enjoyed their biriyanis, i loved their salan and raita
I had an amazing dining experience at Persis Biryani! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a perfect blend of traditional Indian decor and a cozy ambiance. The service was exceptional—friendly, attentive, and quick. Now, let’s talk about the food—absolutely outstanding! I highly recommend their Butter Chicken—it was rich, creamy, and packed with incredible flavor. The chicken was tender and paired perfectly with fresh, fluffy garlic naan. Every dish we tried was full of authentic spices and cooked to perfection. I really recommend this place.
5/5 stars! I recently had the pleasure of dining at Persis Biryani Indian Grill, and I must say, the food was AMAZING! The biryani was flavorful and aromatic, and the Apollo Fish was a game-changer - it's an absolute MUST-TRY! The quality of the food, the flavors, and the presentation all exceeded my expectations. If you're a fan of Indian cuisine, Persis is a must-visit. Can't wait to go back and try more dishes!
As a Boston resident, I don’t usually associate road trips with Indian food — unless I’m heading through New Jersey. Then it becomes a highlight. Every time we’re in or even near Piscataway, we make it a point to stop at Persis Biryani Indian Grill, and it’s always worth it. Their boneless chicken biryani is simply excellent. It hits that perfect balance of spice — flavorful, with just the right amount of heat — and the rice is consistently cooked to perfection: fluffy, aromatic, and rich with layered spices. The goat sukka is another standout. The goat pieces are tender, juicy, and cooked just right, soaking up the bold, savory flavors of the dish. It’s a must-order every time we visit, and it never disappoints. We also love the dum goat biryani, which matches the chicken version in quality and taste. The meat is tender and flavorful, and the rice once again is cooked beautifully — each grain separate, infused with spices, and delicious all the way through. Beyond the food, the staff are always pleasant and welcoming. Whether we’re dining in or picking up trays to take back to Boston, we’re treated with warmth and genuine hospitality. If you’re a biryani fan — or even just looking for a great Indian meal in New Jersey — Persis Biryani Indian Grill is absolutely worth the stop. I’ll keep coming back, tray after tray.
Great food - my favs are the chicken biryani and tangdi kebab. Also love their specials - fish and shrimp. Hidden gem in Edison and very reminiscent of food back home in hyd
