We had the best afternoon tea at Kiran’s! It was simply amazing! Everything was top notch from the initial reply to request a reservation, asking if there are any food allergies or restrictions, greeting upon arrival, the ambiance, beautifully prepared food presentation, tea service and leaving the restaurant. Would highly recommend over 100%!!!
Definitely would recommend. Ask for Saige (pronounced Sāge). We made reservations. We were greeted by name. The atmosphere and energy is very welcoming. Saige was very engaging. And made great recommendations. I would definitely come back.
We went to Kiran’s in early March 2025 for brunch on a Saturday. We ordered: - CHILI CHICKEN & WAFFLES fresh berries, cream, vindaloo syrup, avocado - ALOO POORI CHOLE mango chutney, dahi vada, sooji halwa Food review: - Chicken waffles plate was amazing. Never expected that mix of sweet and savory would work so well. Also loved the vindaloo-infused maple syrup. The chicken was extremely flavorful and not oily. Waffle crispiness was perfect. The berries/cream while nothing overly unique were nonetheless very fresh. - Aloo poori chole plate was spectacular. It’s rare to get both aloo & chole so it was nice to get that variety. The poori was perfectly fried where it wasn’t too oily yet was still soft without being too flaky. We asked for it to be spicy which paired really well with the sweetness of the mango chutney. The dahi vada & halwa were the perfect finishers to cleanse the palette and cool the mouth. Service: - Sage was amazing and friendly. Spent a ton of time conversing with us causally as well as logistically to help us navigate the menu. Even comp’d us the High Tea dessert flight (see pictures). The final chai was delish too! Highly recommend adding Kiran’s to your Houston itinerary to enjoy some world class contemporary Indian fused with European cuisine!
Terrific atmosphere for really delicious Indian fare in an elegant space. We came here for dinner and from the moment we walked through the door to the moment we left, the staff was welcoming, polite and attentive. Our waitress, Tara, was knowledgeable about every dish, made thoughtful suggestions and clearly was a professional through and through. We ordered pani puri, lamb keema, chicken murgh malai, vegetarian thali (with dal, korma and palak paneer) and Punjabi thali with 2 types of naan and rumali roti. For dessert we had the three kulfi flavors with our favorites being the chai and pistachio. Tara also brought out a wonderful lemon cheesecake for the birthday girl. Great wine list as well as a well made martini. Overall a wonderful experience! Highly recommended by our Indian taste buds.
Splendid food and time and service. This place was wonderful. The service was above and beyond and almost international like when you go overseas and stay at a resort. The food was delicious. I had vindaloo and it was well balanced and not too “tomato flavored”. I’m still thinking of how good the food was the day after !! Everyone enjoyed their meals. I would most definitely come back . FYI this place was difficult to find. I would recommend parking inside the garage .
Great Indian spot. Food is solid and the atmosphere and service are great as well. The tasting menu has good flavors and some dishes standout more than others. Wish there weren’t as many bone-in dishes as there are and could use some more balance between different food items on a plate (too much meat on some dishes). The pistachio butter was phenomenal though Came back to do the afternoon tea which was fine. Definitely would not recommend that, especially if you’re looking for something sweet as the clotted cream for the scones was more yogurt than cream/butter
Beautiful restaurant with superb service & delicious food! I ordered the Chef's tasting menu. It was a 6-course meal including scallops, duck confit, lamb, and a lovely tea & Amaretto finale. My husband had the chicken tikki masala, rice & garlic Naan. We will definitely be returning to try some other dishes. Thank you Narayan for taking care of us!
