Formerly Bay Leaf Indian - The food was great. Got the butter chicken, chicken 65, saag paneer, and garlic naan. Food was all delicious, especially the butter chicken but that's a given. The chicken 65 is citrusy and perfectly spicy. Spoke to the owner Laxmi, really nice lady. She mentioned they used to be in Plymouth but relocated to Eden Prairie. Overall a good experience, will definitely go back.
Delicious! Lunch special is what we had, which is 1 meat and 1 veggies entree with rice and naan ($10.99 each). The flavor and temperature were great. Loved chatting with the owner. Will absolutely be back again!
My family and I just had dinner there. We got jeera lassi drink, for breads we got garlic naan, tandoori roti, and lachha paratha. Main dishes we got were chettinad chicken, gongura mutton curry, and butter chicken. Of this we had never had jeera lassi, paratha, gongura mutton (have had gongura pickle) but we wanted to try them. Breads were all tasty too, my wife thought the paratha was too greasy (I did not think that) but it all was freshly made and piping hot! We enjoyed all the dishes very much and we will be back to explore more dishes. My only negative comment is that the gongura was on the salty side, taking extra rice or bread with it helped even it out but that sour/tangy taste was still there so still enjoyed! Maybe that is a by-product of salted mutton, the sorrel leaf product, or a difference in salt levels. My Indian friends always tell me I need to add more salt when I have them try my homemade dishes. We will be back!
Here's a hole in the wall mom and pop restaurant that you won't regret discovering!! One of those restaurants that you go home and tell your friends about the food. I've been here a few times now and would go more frequently but I live an hour outside of the cities - so typically I'll swing through on my way to/from the airport even though it's a bit out of the way. I can't speak for the other dishes being I haven't tried them yet; but the chicken Tikka Masala, garlic Naan bread, and mango lassi are all amazing in my opinion and have wonderful flavor!!
Very excellent Indian food, on par with food I've eaten in South India. Get the veg Gobi Manchurian as an appetizer, was our favorite thing, had so much flavor and was cooked perfectly.
Delicious food spiced just right. Really great price on lunch. Unfortunately they are closed. Been trying for a couple of weeks emails, phones call, but the location hasn't opened since before Thanksgiving. First it said "closed for renovations reopening 12/2" it's now the 12th of December and the sign just says "closed come again"
Took Easter off from cooking and met my daughter and her BF here today. Everything was amazing. We all enjoyed every bite. Trying the naan, lamb dosa then we each ordered a different entree and ate it family style. Not to mention dessert!!! I have never liked rice pudding and I would order this again. Over all if you are looking to try something new or enjoy Indian food you MUST give this place a try. Thanks Kumar for your recommendations and awesome service. Happy Easter 😊
