Nice Bengali sweets spot. They also have many savory snacks options. The decor is okay, good enough to have a quick sit down snack but it's mostly designed as a takeout place. There are many different sweet options and pricing is reasonable. Service is good.
Loved the food here. We traveled from Brooklyn to try out this place. We ordered chole bhature, signature mix paratha, samosa and salted lassi. The paratha was huge with a mixed stuffing of potato, radish, cabbage and onions, served with a side of yogurt and pickle. Absolutely delicious, we loved every bite. The chole bhature was flavorful and we savored every morsel of the fresh and puffy bhatures. The salted lassi felt very refreshing with a hint of mint in it. The samosa was hot and crispy but the potato stuffing was low on salt and spices. Maybe they can improve on that. The chutneys on the side were yum. Very friendly servers and quick service.
This place is a five. I don't want to give them a five but they earned it. This 5 stars means alot, just on the simple fact that in this competitive Desi neighborhood of restaurants. All the Desi people say this one is the best place. Anyone have any legitimate competition for this place? The selection, the cleanliness, the taste, the service, all top notch for the community. Maybe, just maybe, Im wrong. If, by some stretch of the imagination, you know any better places with this style food around Hix please, let me know! =)
Been going here for awhile and always forget to write a review so today is the day lol. My husband and I usually stop by after going to the gym. Love love love the food here. I usually get Palak Paneer and Poori Bread and my husband usually gets the Mooli Paratha. Food is fresh, made to order and truly delicious. They have a sweet yogurt lassi drink that is perfect and refreshing and I always order one when I'm here. The staff is very friendly and courteous and the owners are super nice people who are passionate about their restaurant and food. Also not to miss are their many desserts/mithai, which are super fresh and very tasty. We usually get a pound of mithai for the ride home and my daughter and son enjoy them later on at home. Clean restaurant, friendly and inviting atmosphere and deliciously fresh and very authentic food.
The workers are very nice, and very accommodating. They'll answer any questions you have not be annoyed and just all round respectful. The business itself is beautiful big open area.
The entire crew of this restaurant is remarkable and very professional. The service is exceptional and it’s the same whether is very small order or the huge catering orders. Every items on the menus including all the delicious sweets are extra delicious. Kiddos to the entire team and extra compliments for their endless energy and enthusiasm and patience and passion.
Super food. Friendly staff. Reasonable prices.
