My parents and I love coming to Basmati on occasion. We enjoy the authentic Indian cuisine. My parents before the curry while I prefer the saag (chicken and paneer). The bread is always fresh & I recommend the garlic. The inside is nicely decorated and quaint. The servers are polite and if it’s not too busy, the owner tries to visit each table when he’s there.
This was delicious, I cook Indian at home frequently, I am often dissapointed by Indian buffets in general. This was exquisite. Fresh Naan, amazing dishes. Everything was delectable. Anam was a delight, and took great care of our table. The best is real Masala Chai to end your meal. I highly recommend it.
Basmati is the real deal when it comes to Indian/Punjabi grub! As soon as you walk in, you're hit with that amazing mix of spices that just screams 'flavor town.' The place has such a cozy vibe, with all these cool Indian vibes. Now, let's talk about the food – it's something else! From their butter chicken that's like a hug in a bowl to the tandoori chicken that's juicy and charred to perfection, every dish is packed with flavor and authenticity. And don't even get me started on their malai kofta – those creamy, dreamy dumplings are a game-changer! And the service? Top-notch! The staff is super friendly and always ready to hook you up with the best recommendations. They are sooooo sweet!!!! If you're into Indian/Punjabi food or just craving something seriously delicious, Basmati is where it's at.
I absolutely love this place. It's by far the best Indian food in the region and the best lunch buffet I've ever had. If I had to pick one restaurant in the Annapolis area I never want to see leave, it would be this one. If you haven't been yet, try the lunch buffet first to see what menu items you like best. So fun to have that option.
New to the area and looking for our new favorites. We ordered the vegetable samosas which were DEVINE! Lamb Sagg was good, the lamb was so tender with minimal fat and spicy, just like we asked for. I enjoyed our meal and we'll be back, soon.
This was the best Indian cuisine I have had in the area! The tandoori lamb chops and salmon were amazing. It is a must visit, your tastebuds deserve it.
Came here on a date night with the wife and we'll definitely be coming back. The service was impeccable and the dishes were top notch. My wife ordered a tamarind martini and the chicken biryani. I ordered a cardamom Manhattan and the salmon tandoori. Probably some of the best Indian food I've had in years.
