I've been meaning to visit and finally made it to see what the hype was about :) to be fair, I had heard it was amazing for cocktails and the night vibes, but I just wanted to go for the food so we went for a weekend lunch. I actually loved that it was quiet, and got to enjoy our server's full attention. The food was amazing, but for lunch only Butter Chicken Tikka Masala was available for curry, so I would love to go back for more curry options. My onlyyyy suggestion/request is a wider straw for the mango lassi! The lassi was too thick for the narrow straw so it was super hard to drink.
One of my favorite Indian food spots ever. Service was amazing and the food was so full of flavor not to mention they have sticky toffee pudding for dessert!!!! I love this place and I’ve been back a few times now. Portion size is great also, really nice seating as well.
The food is really good. We ordered some lentils, the butter chicken, some bread and rice and everything was very good. Not that spicy and the chicken was cooked perfectly, super tender and saucy. We also had samosas to start, chicken and vegetable. Both were very good. Vegetable ones were my favorite. Thanks for everything.
This was an awesome place that I'll definitely revisit when I have a little extra money in my pocket. It's more expensive than comparable places, but I think part of what you're paying for is the high quality service and the ambiance. This place is an absolute riot! For birthdays they play loud drums and carry out a sparkler and everyone claps, it's very festive. If you want a table you MUST have a reservation, but they often have seats available at the bar for walk-ins and those are great seats too!
Came here on a Friday night. We made a reservation but arrived way earlier, they still were kind enough to accommodate us. The vibe is great, very candlelight and with music but not deafening. I’m not a very spicy food-tolerant person but I could enjoy our food nonetheless. Don’t leave without trying the Railway chicken. Drinks were tasty, kinda on the expensive side ($~20 per cocktail)
One of the best restaurants in NYC!!!!! Every bite is incredible, the staff are so kind, and the vibes are immaculate! I haven't stopped talking about The Drunken Munkey to everyone I know since first trying it. And I love their "meal for a meal" program – for $7 you can add on a meal for someone who is hungry, and they provide those meals each night. It makes me happy to know they do so much good (and I love being able to contribute to it). Every restaurant should take notes and follow suit!
Came here for my birthday dinner last night and it was great! Nice staff, delicious, flavorful food, dim lighting, and a delicious version of a spicy margarita. The complimentary naan is a nice touch. Service is a little slow and my food wasn’t very hot (temperature wise), but those are really the only things of note. Love the sparklers they use for birthdays. The samosas and saag paneer were yummy and everyone else liked their food. The butter chicken was delicious and so was the dessert :)
