Gateway to India

Being away from India, it’s rare to find a restaurant that truly captures the original flavors we grew up with — but this place does exactly that, just like real Indian kitchens. The chili garlic naan was absolutely perfect, and the rice and biryani had the rich aroma and flavor you only find back home. It’s like taking a quick flight back to India — without leaving the city! And to make it even better, the person attending us was incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive. Their hospitality made the whole experience feel even more special.

Had an amazing dinner at Gateway to India! The food was authentic, flavorful, and felt just like home — the paneer tikka were especially incredible. A special shoutout to Kaka, our host for the evening, who made the experience even better with his warm hospitality and genuine care. His welcoming nature truly made us feel like family. Highly recommend for anyone craving delicious Indian food and heartfelt service!

Wonderful food and great service. I went at an off time, and my server, Karan, seated me promptly. He was very friendly, and recommended a kabob. I ordered this, along with some garlic naan. The chef, Dil, did an excellent job, and everything came out delicious.

The chicken biriyani is very good, ask for it spicy. There is a small ballroom for large parties. They also just added a large flatscreen display for non-stop Bollywood videos. Overall, Gateway is one of my favorite Indian restaurants in Orange County, located across the street from Disneyland.

Everything was great! Garlic naan, chicken tikka masala, saag paneer, and chicken curry all excellent. We also had samosas and they were over cooked but we let them know and they brought us a new batch and they were great! Service was wonderful :)

This place was delicious—everything was on point. Everything we ate was superb. It's a must-try if you're in the area. The service was excellent.
