This was my first time here and it was amazing. The coconut chicken curry is the best and the coconut naam bread is to die for.
Tonight my friend and I tried another Indian restaurant in the area. This time we tried The Mango Tree - Spokane Valley. Now I can say I have been to every Indian restaurant (by name) in the area. 😂 We started with some drinks, Indian Margarita (didn’t know it was a thing) and a Prickly Flower Martini. Both were great and something I haven’t had anywhere else. I didn’t even know there was such a thing as an Indian Margarita…. But it’s definitely worth a try! My friend also got to try a Mango Lasse. It was her first time trying it, and it was yummy. Next course was Veggie Pakoras, they were great and (surprisingly) also came with a house salad. In the restaurant we went with grilled entrees. I ordered their fish and my friend the shrimp. These entrees came with basmati rice, and a really fresh tasting house salad. Not sure what dressing they used, but it was light and wonderful. As for the grilled entrees, the amount of protein was great, the seasoning that was sprinkled over the protein was (in our opinion) a little on the salty side. We loaded up on to-go food though. We ordered Chicken Tikka Masala (two different spice levels) and after asking another friend what her favorite was, I ordered the Mango Curry (with chicken) to go as well. With the curry bowls we were also able to get an order of garlic naan for each bowl. That’s a great savings!! We had a great visit, great food, and our server was fantastic! I did stop at Top of India on the way home for some extra-hot Rogan Josh and Raita. We have plenty of food for several days. 😂
Very delicious. It was my first time trying Indian food and was nervous, but my meal was fantastic! Service was great. Waitress gave good recommendations. We will definitely be back!
Great dinner! Everything was delicious! We had exceptional service. Our server was Ahmad M. He made our evening especially memorable with his great personality and quick wit. We will definitely be back! Thanks for a fun night!
The absolute best in the Valley! The coconut chicken was so flavorful! Our waitress Tayyaba was friendly and courteous and provided excellent service 👏 If you haven't tried it, make a plan and vist the Mango Tree!!
Food was delicious (I had the appetizer sampler platter as a meal because I wanted to try a little bit of everything). And my friend had the beef curry. They had choices to customize your own dishes and our servers were great at explaining what ingredients were in the vegetarian fried pies, which was good because they contained chickpeas which I'm allergic to. They promptly switched them out for a second helping of the breaded fish (my favorite!). Atmosphere was industrial with thick wooden tables and exposed metal and brick; the lighting was a bit low but it fit the vibe and with the huge wall of windows facing front I'm sure it's a lot brighter during the day (we went about 7pm). Excited to try their happy hour next, as we'll for sure be back, there were just too many tasty things to choose from on the menu! And be sure to get their fresh Naan bread! I ordered a second basket to take with me to work for my soup the next day!! So yummy!!
The restaurant is at a little strip mall in Spokane Valley. There's plenty of free parking and handicap parking is available. The facility, (bathrooms included) were clean and spacious, however it was a bit chilly in there. So I suggest that you have a light jacket on hand. There's only a few booths and the rest are tables with chairs.. I felt blessed because we were able to grab the last available booth. The server was helpful and patient while he was explaining food items and he checked on us often throughout our meal. At lunch..I had the beef kabobs. Which came with an amazing salad and rice and with lots of beef kabobs. Besides the food being great, presentation is everything and it was amazing!
