Ekta Indian Cuisine

I’ve been ordering from Ekta for over three years, and their consistency still impresses me. The food is always excellent—fresh, vibrant, and perfectly spiced, arriving piping hot whether it’s takeout or delivery. Their standards are remarkably high, and the care shows in every dish. Friends who’ve moved away or live farther out still talk about how much they miss having Ekta nearby. It’s a local gem that never slips, and I’m genuinely grateful to have it in the neighborhood.

1/10/2025 Updates: the first time we ordered Samosas must have been a fluke. Every other time we've ordered from Ekta, we've gotten the Samosas and have been delicious ever since. This is our go to take out spot for Indian cuisine. The good: The Chicken Korma, Chicken Saag and Baingan Bharta we're delicious and appropriately spiced (both flavor and spicy) The bad: Samosas were the worst part of the meal, would not order those again. They have easy online ordering for both pick up and delivery, great for a take out night!

Great variety of vegetarian options for a good price if you know what to order! We've ordered delivery and also dined in. The restaurant is comfortable, and the owner is very kind and attentive. This is another one of our favorite Indian restaurants! If you're vegetarian, you might want to consider ordering their dal makhani, malai kofta, and/or mango lassi.

Best Indian food in town. Highly recommend butter chicken.

I have ordered from this place for years at least once a month and never once have they messed an order up The food is consistently absolutely delicious and the service is perfect. Even down to the way they pack the to go orders. There’s always extra sauces, I never have to ask for rice. This is definitely my favorite place to get takeout in Philly. I always get the garlic naan,tandoori chicken, malai kotfka and somosas, so bangin !!!

Great food all the way around took my family out for something new for us and Santos our server took amazing care of us ! Will be back for more !

Food here is always amazing! Atmosphere leaves something to be desired though. As to why I usually only get take out from here.
