Do patronize this restaurant. The family-run establishment serves freshly made, tasty Punjabi food. Raman and her family and crew work hard to satisfy and are eager that patrons enjoy the ambience and food. The restaurant is located in the Williwbrook Mall area, to the west of I-45 and in the former 59 Diner/Dimassis building. The interior has been tastefully redone in an aqua-colored theme. Food arrives as it is cooked and is fresh and flavorful. Ordered Gol Gappe (Pani Puri) for starters together with Mango Lassi and Mango Mojito mocktail. Entrees consisted of Paneer Kulcha with Chole (the Kulcha was very tasty though it looked a tad overdone - necessarily so, according to Raman), Murgh Hariyali (which arrived sizzling), Sarson da Saag and Makai ki Roti (a Punjabi classic not commonly on the menu in Indian restaurants and superbly cooked here), Chicken Kolhapuri with Basmati Rice and Garlic Naan. Dessert consisted of hot Carrot Halwa. Service, while warm, could be a bit more organized - we waited a while before we were attended to. However, the tasty food, warmth of the welcome and solicitous attention thereafter, more than made up for it. The entire meal for three set us back $92 (before tax and tips). Entirely worth it and the family owners deserve the local community’s support! We plan to return, of course!
This is really good Indian food. Every other place overloads the Indian food with chilies. We never taste or smell all the amazing spices from India. The food was not over loaded with chili heat that burns going in and coming out. That allowed us to taste the meat, vegetables and aroma of all the wonderful Indian spices like cardamom, cinnamon, and others. The staff was very attentive to us and brought us little dishes and stuff without asking for it. Definitely going back to try the rest of the menu.
My partner and I tried Indian food for the first time and we had a great experience here. Our server, Rahul S., was helpful, made some recommendations, and answered our questions. I would say that the value was very good for what you get. The decor is fun and creates a good atmosphere. The butter naan was so good. Give this one a try.
Food: The flavors were nothing short of exquisite! Each dish was packed with vibrant, bold flavors. Service: What truly made this experience stand out was the exceptional service provided by Vinod. From the moment we walked in, Vinod greeted us with a warm smile and offered insightful recommendations based on our preferences. He was attentive without being overbearing and ensured our glasses were always filled and that our dining experience was top-notch. His knowledge of the menu made it easy to trust his suggestions, and he made sure our meal was nothing short of perfect. Truly amazing service!
5 star ratings for this elegant fine dinning restaurant in the North part of Houston. Excellent service, very elegant ambience, delicious food and proper portioning! A must try new place for the north Houstonians who are otherwise forced to drive to the south for delicious food from the sub-continent!
We recently celebrated a birthday at this wonderful Indian restaurant, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations in every way. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcomed and special. They were attentive, kind, and went out of their way to ensure the celebration was memorable. Not only did they provide excellent service during the celebration, but they were attentive and caring when we began planning our celebration. They execute everything in a timely manner and we were truly impressed. The food was delicious, with traditional taste and modern touches. Their hospitality was beyond amazing and they truly listened to our needs for this celebration to be possible. The ambiance of the restaurant is incredible and well designed. We highly recommend this restaurant as we had an extraordinary experience.
I had an incredible dining experience at Raahi! The food was absolutely outstanding, and every dish was full of flavor and beautifully prepared. The Tandoori Chicken Seekh Kebab was perfectly spiced and grilled to perfection – definitely a must-try! The Palak Paata Chaat was delicious with the perfect balance of crispy and tangy flavors. And the Gobi Manchurian was crispy and savory. The tandoori paneer was very interesting and had a sweet dry fruit filling - I’ve never tried that before! The ambiance was lovely, and the service was top-notch. I can’t wait to return and explore more of their menu. Highly recommend Raahi for anyone craving authentic, flavorful Indian cuisine!
