Curry and Grill - Conroe

We retired to a lovely house on Lake Conroe 12 years ago. In those 12 years, we have wished for a nearby restaurant that serves authentic Indian food. We read about this place on Facebook recently. The reviews were so good! We tried it tonight. Our thoughts: It’s inside a nice, new Shell service station. The minute we were inside, we smelled the amazing aromatic Indian cuisine we grew to love decades ago. Having lived abroad —- Scotland, Norway, Australia —- we grew to love Indian cuisine (as a replacement for eating Texas/Mexican food)—-We like our food spicy! Conroe has an abundance of Mexican restaurants. We impatiently waited for someone to see the demand for authentic Indian food. And now we have it! As others have said, the quality of the food is 5-star Indian. Excellent, friendly service. The chef came out to see if we were sweating after he gave us what we asked for—-very spicy. Because of the sudden and severe rainstorm, we could not eat at the table in the front (one of three tables with umbrellas) of the gas station. So I’m telling him now—>it was great and spicy, but next time, Jamie and Julie want you to bump the heat up even more. We are not “normal” people! This place should do great for take out/home delivery. It’s next to Panorama Village and The Woodlands Hills. Nearby are the subdivisions down M. P. Clark Rd., League Line, and Longmire. Please don’t even consider closing down. If I had a major wish, I’d ask you to relocate to a full-service restaurant nearby. But we will happily give you our business at your current location!

Heard allot of good things about this place and it's barely opened and it didn't let me down. Chicken vindaloo was delicious as was the butter naan. I definitely recommend ordering ahead but I will definitely be back to eat me way through the menu.

Absolutely loved this place! From the moment i walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The staff was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Every dish we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The butter chicken and chicken 65 was a standout – perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. Prices were reasonable for the quality of food and service. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great experience!

I have been dying for an Indian restaurant to open closer to me and when I saw this place on doordash I immediately ordered. Very reasonable prices and full portions. Everything tasted authentic and fresh. I got garlic Naan, butter chicken, and palek paneer and it was all good.

Very clean place, very courteous staff and service. Food was excellent, much better than what one would expect at a gas station. They need to open a full fledged Indian restaurant. I’d definitely go there again.

Our food was AMAZING!! So perfectly executed and seasoned! The portions were generous and the hospitality wonderful!! We had the goat vindaloo, paneer butter masala & the chicken biryani w/ raita sauce and recommend them all. We are so glad they are in Willis and will be back often!!
